Very enjoyable episode and I love faction deep dives. The only thing that I would find really useful as a new player to Necromunda would be an example starting gang at the end. A run through of your 1000cr gang and reasons for choices would be super useful - having one each to compare would be even better. Keep up the great work 😎

15:32 Leader with suspensor, heavy bolt gun, and pistol is my favourite. 4 fists on the charge at S4 is great for the first half of the campaign so I just buy him a weapon later on

I think the forge-born are solid. Stick one in the starting list with a stub pistol. M5 T4 for 40 credits is a great profile for an action gopher who protects your gang from low numbers vulnerabilities. They have flexible development options thanks to their trade post pistols & CCW access and the skills they can pick up. eg Van Saar in your meta snowballing with gravcutter spam? Take a web pistol + hip shooting. I do agree that the modelling options in the Stimmers and Forge-Born box for the FBs are a complete trap though! (But pretty) In contrast the bully feels like it needs a premeditated gimmick to justify. eg Genesmith Unborn (Cunning) + Stimm Implant, with the intention of taking infiltrate later and long bombing big grenade templates.

I like the rundown and the lore intro, however I think you did a disservice to the prospect by merely looking at the weapons they come with in the box and very briefly going over the fact they have two lousy weapons over the Juve. The advantage of the Prospect is in their 'Weapon' access vs a Juve 'Weapon' access. A prospect is allowed "Weapons (CC and pistols) and Wargear" from the Trading Post and the Black Market in comparison to a Juve only having access to "Weapons from this list" and "Wargear" from the Trading Post and the Black Market. This is generally a huge oversight and it's one I didn't notice until I wanted to give my Juves better weapons in this campaign. This means that the similarly priced Goliath prospect can act as a faster objective control than the regular Goliath Juves, have access to Gene-smithing to bring them up to S+1 and can access things like hand flamers, web guns, better close combat weapons post game 1 in the campaign, without having to be promoted. This, vs every other prospect, is what make the Goliath prospects in particular; very good. It would also be good to fact check the points for "Orlock and Delaque" "gangers" being over 60 credits... they are both cheaper than Goliath gangers by 10 and 15 credits respectively. Its their prospects that are expensive.

Chem dealer for goliath is great because it has fixer for more credits after 1 use of it already has paid for itself

Delaque, I do think the primary idea for prospects in general is turning them into champions with their unique equipment.

I've been wanting to try running a forge-born with the storm welder, and I do think you could make it quite scary with the right setup - Unborn (Savant) to pick up Munitioneer as soon as possible and mitigate the risks of Unstable a bit (and remember that you don't have to roll ALL the firepower dice every shot), coupled with a Heretek hanger-on to give it Blaze, Rad-Phage, or even Power if you don't mind fishing for sixes, could cause a hell of a lot of carnage. Efficient use of resources? GOD no. But quite a bit of fun I reckon.😎

If you do go for the assault grenade launcher, consider getting smoke grenades for it right away. Rapid fire cover for your gang to advance under, and it doesn't have the -2 to hit because smoke grenades say so for what ever reason.

Unwieldy? Wow that's bad. Sure it kind of makes sense because it's a big literal rivet gun but Goliath are also huge!

Yeah that’s it, I remember being like this is totally unuasable 9 inch long range and unwieldy. Thankfully they fixed it by house of chains but it’s a shame it still sucks, it’s cool flavour wise

I dont understand why u say it sucks. I always give this to a guy and always get a kill atleast once a game. My highest kill count ganger on my previous campaign had it. (Also the highest in the campaign overall)

I used spare axe-heads from the Ork Beastsnagga Boys and got a few 3d printed from a friend. Heavy Bolters are tricky, i kitbashed mine from the Heavy Bolter that comes from the Orlock Weapon Upgrade sprue since I play both gangs. Maybe someone in your group has a spare one.

"Rapid Fire Unstable scares me" Coward! My Squats got the Archeotec territory and all of their guns are unstable now! Only one has actually died from exploding so far. (Also two of them have Dependable Like Kin and are immune to blowing up)
