The ironic thing was that when I was little this commercial almost convinced me House Hippos were real. It kind of back fired on them.

I’ve seen this type of comment multiple times and as someone who clearly understood the intent of the commercial as a six year old, I can only conclude one of two things: I was either incredibly bright or the rest of you were unbelievably dim. It’s probably the latter.
