The tiny rooms are called trunk rooms. Was used for luggage/storage historically. Can today be legally deemed a bedroom. Go for the place you can make your own. You can make more equity!

The house with the really low ceilings.......did you notice those gray metal poles with the holes all over them? Those are supports that help keep the place from falling down. My parents had to do that in their basement, as it too was a more historical home. First time watching you, can't wait to see more!!

As someone who lives in Brooklyn, my family’s home in flatlands neighborhood. Its so beautiful to see brownstones but them bedrooms are always so tiny! Sheesh but love that u will have an rental property below. Smart. And location is top tier. Harlem might be nice too but Harlem can get a little more rowdy

Apartments in NY are so small and expensive. I don't see myself moving to NY, even though i lived there when i was little and loved it. I guess i got used to the big spaces in TX. But they look so nice and cozy, i loved the newer one and the one with the big kitchen was amazing as well. Makes me miss going to NY.

My fave is the last home. The kitchen is big with plenty of cabinets/storage. As soon as you showed #2 (across from the pj's), I knew exactly the area becausei used to work in that area..so big NO to number 2.

what you described you can find them all over new york city. it just depends what borough you want to live. you can also buy a commercial space (mixed bldg) and you live upstairs and a couple other apts. or just stick to brownstones. staten island is also part of the city to so dont count it out.
