When I was a kid, this was just fun. I don't think I ever expected Japanese people to be like this, but I lived in the Washington DC area and knew people from so many backgrounds that this would have been just one more part of the mix.

I love the fact that even though it hews to a certain amount of stereotype you get a bit of authentic Japan thrown in as well. The doctors are actually speaking nihongo as they examine the unusual mouse. I had to chuckle at "kitchy kitchy kawaii."

Do you happen to have the Hoshimoto episode where he's fretting over his family's straying away from tradition? I love the part where his daughter is all bopping out to a record and goes, "Is rock & roll!" That was my fave!

If the invisible mouse knows kenjutsu and archery and takes advantage of his invisibility. Wouldn't that classify him as a ninja? (I'm aware that term ninja wasn't widespread in the west at that time)

Im searching for an Asian cartoon thats about a group of mice trying to survive (searching a friend?) and there were weasels who wanted to kill them, anyone knows something like that?
@bigg346918 жыл бұрын
It was the anime tv series called The Adventures of Ganba (Ganba no Bōken in Japanese) about a gang of mice who live near a port at a warehouse in the harbor traveling to Yumemishima Island to help a fellow mouse who is seeking help to rid of a ruthless clan of weasels known as the Noroi Clan who we're terrorizing the island inhabitants. The series was animated by TMS Tokyo Movie Shinsa.
