@@janetdouglas5098that is true, but the Book of Mormon is about a prophet named Lehi who fled Jerusalem with his family. Around 600BC who made many prophesies concerning the destruction of Jerusalem. It could be a common name, but the amount of similarities in the stories would encourage us to take the Record more seriously

Check everything against the Bible. The Bible is 100% the word of God. If it doesn't measure up to the word of God then it is from the devil. Do your due diligence and try, test and prove this Book of Mormon BS for yourself. I have done this try, test and prove for myself and this Book of Mormon BS does not stack up against the word of God.

Why does Satan not want the world to know the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and used othen men to discredit the book? Because Satan does not want men to discover the whole truth how God the Father loves all men that He sent His son Jesus Christ to be the Redeemer and Savior of the world and by the power of the Holy Ghost will know all truth and in these last days He called a prophet named Joseph Smith wherein He restored the priesthood and Church that will help men to go back to the presence of God while Satan and his angels will be thrown down to outer darkness forever. I did know before but I searched the Bible and the Book of Mormon and the Holy Ghost testifies the BOM is true and Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God.

The Book of Mormon talks about a prophet named Lehi who was told to leave Jerusalem and flee bc the people would be carried captive and be destroyed. It was about 600 BC. It would make sense that he disappeared. Lehi pleaded with the people to repent. Lehis story is prof that God does not forget his people. Doesn’t it make sense? Ephraim was promised a land where his branches would “run over the wall” his posterity would be given a land not near to him. It happened, God promised and this is a testament of that promise. In the Book of Mormon, he and his family fled Jerusalem, wandered in the wilderness for many days, the lord led them to America. The Book or Mormon is just plain a record that was found in America about these people “other sheep” so neat.

Lehi was a place named in Judges 15:14-17, and was the place where the Bible said Samson slew 1000 men with the jawbone of an ass. So the place pre-dated the Book of Mormon Lehi by approximately 500-600 years. Personally I don't see a connection. I know others do. The Book of Mormon is a true work, regardless.

To all the mormons making claims about this discover, please read: There was a famous archeologist who was looking for the treasure in troy. He dug through layers of historical evidence (destroying it) until he found a gold neclace which he placed on his wife and declared 'here is the treasure of troy'. Unfortuntely he is not praised for his discovery but rather criticised heavily for his destruction of an archeological site, and whats worse, that neclace probably wasn't even from the same time period as the illiad. the moral of the story is, when you are discovering the homes and remains of ancient people it is better to let the evidence speak for itself than it is to try to make it fit a narrative you already have in your mind. Finding a house of lehi and hearing that a prophet once lived there is not evidence that the book of mormon is true, it just means that there was a guy who was probably called lehi and some people thought he was a prophet. Anything more than that is absurd. Imagine finding a wood box in New York from the early 1800s and it has 'smith' carved into it. Clearly this was the same box joseph used to carry the gold plates! ... or it was a box owned by somebody with the name smith. I know the book of mormon is true because I prayed about it, not because there are convenient archelogical artifacts that could be interpreted to corroborate the story. If beyt Lehi turns out to be fake, or from the wrong time period it will not have any bearing on my beleifs. either way, this discovery is pretty cool.

To the same point, as an oral tradition for the people living there, Lehi and his family 'disappeared' at the exact time period that is mentioned in the Book of Mormon. Lehi was known to have a house/land of inheritance. Another point, not every person was known as a prophet in those times, it was appointment by God. So for this oral tradition to carry on that Lehi was a prophet in Jerusalem at the exact same time as the Lehi in the Book of Mormon prophesying the same thing, it isn't coincidence.@@Johnno-vi4pl

Because the testimony of two nations is greater than one. God did command these things to be written, but they are not found in the Bible, the stem of Judah. Instead, they were discovered by a young prophet and translated by the gift and power of God into what is known today as The Book Of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. The stem of Joseph. I advise you to read it, as it contains the history and testimony of the descendants of Lehi, even that same Lehi as described in this video.
