You know how in zombie films, fans usually time how long it takes from when the main character first encounters a zombie, to the point where they actually properly handle a zombie? This movie has soldiers who say they have had experience dealing with zombies in a post-infection world, and when they first see a zombie, say "what the hell?" and shoot it in the chest. And then they keep making the same damn mistakes over and over again, like Phelous says! I'm sorry, but... how? How do the writers DO that? How do they sit down, write a movie about zombies, and then decide to have characters repeatedly make fatal mistakes? How do you turn your brain off like that? No, better way to explain, how do you REVERSE your brain like that? It's beyond Stupidity Advances the Plot, this is a movie where the plot demands in every scene after the set-up that nothing can happen without someone doing something as if they were boarding Cliché Train for the first time! This is Triangle levels of illogical time-loops! You're wondering if some computer programmed on bad tropes spat out one of ten thousand possible scripts, and they went with that one! Heck, I'm not even angry, it just baffles me. Not even the excuse of "they just wanted to make a movie" makes sense, because it's not just writing lazy clichés, it's writing clichés that directly contradict other clichés in EVERY scene! Just... HOW?! XD XD

In Uwe Boll's case: tax loophole exploitation. That's how. Prior to 2006, Germany had a law where if your movie was doing poorly, you'd get about half of the project money back from the government as tax refunds. So in regards to Uwe Boll's movies, all he had to do was make movies that had at least some form of acting, writing, filming, audio editing and video editing to make it "acceptable" enough to be considered a movie made on a "proper budget" - as long as it did poorly than most other successful movies. So all in all, it doesn't even matter if the script is awful and riddled with mistakes - they're done badly on purpose. And that's one of the reasons why Uwe Boll is disliked, nay, loathed by many. As for other movie makers doing these sort of mistakes in their zombie movies, sometimes the stress of making a movie, the tight schedule and inexperience can create these sort of mistakes. It just happens. But at least they're more honest mistakes.

one big mistake Sid Haig makes in this movie is if you're going the girl back to life, be sure to have her tied down first. this dumb mistake was also made in the beginning of the Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave.

"Hyper-sapiens"? "Sapiens" means "wise" or "sapient". I think that aspect is probably the main thing to be lost upon transformation into a zombie. "Sub-sapiens" sounds stupid, too, but would at least make some sort of sense.

I know this is a crazy late response, but - based on the reviews I've seen, House of the Dead 2 looks waaaaaay more watchable than 1. Like, it clearly sucks and is awful, but it looks like a more fun awful. If nothing else, the actress for Nightingale seems to have a charming screen presence, even if her character (like all the others in the movie) is an idiot.

Well...in some cases, the blood of an infected, (a dead one), is actually useful for camouflage. Far as I know, this tactic was only used in Dying Light & Telltale's the Walking Dead.
