Viserys showed Rhaenyra the vision Aegon wrote down to encourage her to get married because it says from my blood will come the prince that was promised, so he's letting her know they need to have kids and continue Aegons line to fulfil the prophecy, thats why she agrees to get married but only if Otto is removed as hand. Also the Stallion that mounts the world was probably Daenerys' dragons, so that prophecy might've come true, she did give "birth" to them.

It’s not the show failing to show you that the Targs were powerful and should be respected. They’re showing you exactly why the family started to go down. Because a) Viserys was a weak king and b) this all ended up in a civil war where they destroyed themselves. Daemon’s main issue is that the family name is weakened and needs to be restored and feels he and Rhaenyra can do that

@@THEREDDOTHACKz Exactly, the thing that seems disgusting to the normal folks is deemed differently for them, exactly they are like magical beings, they don't and will never abide by the same rules as everyone else, people need to remember that Westeros was actually deemed as more primitive before the Targaryens came into power, also the Targaryens were also a lesser power of Valeria before they came to Westeros, it doesn't surprise me that they lost their power so easily, They didn't have all the knowledge of the past, Tyrion said himself that Valyria was highly advanced even for the time they were living in, Now obviously im not vouching for incest, just the thought of it makes me sick, but if we are going to think in royal logic, or "higher being" logic of the game of thrones lore, the Targaryens were highly careless of the culture, and allowed themselves to disintegrate, because they didn't really pay that much attention to their own family, they allowed outside influences to penetrate them and mingle with them, bringing in ideas that eventually would lead to their downfall. Viserys was not a good father, because he didn't pay attention to his family, I don't care if he is King, when you are the head of a household, it is important you take up the responsibility of the state and the home whether you like it or not, you uphold the traditions and the culture of your family, we saw it with Tywin, we see with Otto, so many men who are deemed as badasses, but when you look at the family it always ends in.....disaster and collapsed. having Aliscent as his wife was a bad decision, just from her reaction to the act that Rhynaera could have slept with her uncle made her sick, Exactly you are not ONE OF US, she referred to her as you Targaryens, she doesn't even consider herself as a Targaryen😂😂😂

I think the meaning of the blade is following the books instead of the show GOT. In the show we know the prince that was promised doesnt mean Jack. In the books we still dont know yet. I dont think theyd put this in if they wanted it to line up with the GOT show.

Just curious Jody, why do you have to put a huge Targaryen sigil over the footage playing when I've seen on other reaction channels not do it? Is it by choice so you don't get a copyright strike? I've seen them with a specific timer of footage shown, cutting to best parts for a reaction and commentary, etc basically what you do.

The timer is a meme that doesn't really mean anything. You get flagged for continuous unobstructed scenes being shown. Probably just easier to have a watermark to avoid problems.

Especially as a "should have" over this current storyline instead like the original commenter wrote. D&D soured a huge portion of the fanbase on this franchise and HBO had to make sure to stick the landing with their first spin off show to get things back on track. They needed a story with politics and unpredictability like HOTD's Targ Civil War to get people invested again. Which Aegon's Conquest did not have

I like all 3 Targaryens. In Damon's position, it would be easier to kill his wife and then come to Viserys with a marriage proposal. And not after he dragged her into the city and left her on the street without guards, where she could easily be killed or raped. Viserys is not the best king, but far from the worst of the Targaryens. He's not a manipulative genius like Otto, but he's not an idiot either. He has reasons to keep his brother away from the throne and away from his daughter.

The prince who is promised is Dany, confirmed by George. Dany is fire with her (dragons) against the The dead, (ice). As far as we know in the books Jon is still dead and not much has been confirmed about his heritage

Thank you so much for reacting. This is my theory of bringing back Danyres in Snow Honestly I think: She was taken to Volantis to Kinvara the high priestess, stronger than Mylesandra. She was the one who had that conversation with Veres in the 6th season of GOT. She's the red priestess that the leader of the faith Lord of Light. She expressed extreme confidence in Daneryes. That's what I believe what happened. Plus did you notice at the end of GOT, Brans concern of where Drogon is, why? Hmmm

I’ve always thought this was a way to bring Dany back too. It’s been in fanfics a lot cause it’s logical and canon to the show. After bringing back Beric and Jon, why couldn’t you bring Dany back too? After I heard about the Jon Snow spin off I really thought they could actually do it. Maybe not in the first couple of seasons but later on. Show she’s been resurrected and living in Volantis all this time or went back to ruling Dragon’s Bay. I don’t know what the story is going to be for this spin off though so who knows.
