You guys should also remember that Aegon was never MEANT to be King. He had no formal training whatsoever and as such is very much clueless about everything. When Aegon was made aware that he was going to be named king, recall that he ran away and hid. At that moment he knew he didn't want the throne because he wasn't prepared for it. He only grew to like it at his coronation when people cheered after anything he did. Anyways hope y'all are enjoying the show! And if you feel like the characters piss you off then give props to the actors for getting you guys to feel SOMETHING for their characters! If you guys go on to watch Game of Thrones, there will be characters in that show you will ABSOLUTELY LOVE to hate! Cheers y'all!

In the books Alicient is power hungry and steals the throne from Rhaenyra she also keeps king Viserys rotten body locked up while doing it. Aemond was never bullied by Rhaenyra kids in the books he was just evil because he liked to be, he meant to kill lucerys it wasn’t an accident. Nobody on team black in the books were as crazy as team green until the war had started. In the books Rhaenyra even says she will forgive aegon, Aemond, Daeron and Helena if they bend the knee to her whereas Aegon never give her that option alone he required she bend the knee to him and have two of her sons work for him as squire and cupbearer(her two sons lives would be taken if she upset the king). When lucerys died in the book Rhaenyra grieved and did nothing for a long time because she was so depressed. When Jaehaerys was killed in the books, Alicient demanded blood’s mother name so she can bathe in the blood of his family members.

You can tell the difference in battle styles between the 3. The brothers don't really have one except for dracarys. Meleys knew to use her claws to bleed the other two, inflicting damage.

While I was watching I realized I didnt want anything to happen to any of them. That it was all one big unnecessary tragedy. I even grown to really love Aegon as a character. Otto used his daughter who used her son. Alicent tries to confide in Otto, he doesn't wish to hear it. Alicent walks by her son crying, she doesnt wish to hear it. The next episode she blames him for everything, refusing to take any responsibility when in reality, both him and Aemond are just alone. Never knowing if anyone really loved them. They probably see Rhaenyra and get upset and misplaced it towards her. So I actually was really sad to see that happen to Aegon and ya, his dragon too.

Also the Targaryen's are absolutely off the rails. It's intentional really. Colonizers from another continent with blond hair and blue eyes with flying nukes named targARYAN. The dragons are also said to be chimera creations as well as the dragon riders. If you look closely at Rhaenyra's baby at the end of season 1, you'll see she gave birth to a half dragon. So the Dragons are also Targaryen.

Yes. I read in another GOT book that the mages that created the dragons used blood magic, sacrificing their own people to make the dragons smarter and able to bond with their riders. So, dragons have human DNA, and Valerians have dragon DNA. The Targeryns are si inbred that those,dormant gene can show sometimes.

Rhaenys was sent by Queen Rhaenyra to protect the people of Rooks Rest in this Battle. Just because Vhagar shows up to fight it doesn't mean the Battle is over. If Rhaenys had fled back to Dragonstone, running away from the Battle and Abandoning the people of Rooks Rest, Rhaenyra's claim would be viewed as weak. Like Queen Rhaenyra runs away when things get tough. That's the simple answer for Rhaenys's suicide mission. Put even simpler, there were still people to protect. In response to hector, the show runners said this conflict will be around 3-4 seasons. SUPER light spoilers, but based on the book it seems they will end the conflict around 3/4ths of the way through the final season and spend the last few episodes on the aftermath which is called The Hour of The Wolf although that’s not certain. There’s potential the show may continue into future conflicts from the book like the Blackfyre rebellion but that’s just speculation.

GRRM wanted to make sure the dragons were all a bit different in size, color or form particularly for HOTD cuz they definitely didn't have much differences in Game of Thrones! There were only 3 dragons back then!! Rest In Peace Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, the Queen Who Should Have Been and Meleys, the Red Queen! Fierce and brave until the very end. Their bond was so strong and it made it even more heartbreaking when they died together. 🖤❤️ They will be missed!! It's heartbreaking to watch the dragons fight and kill each other thanks to the dumb humans who can't live in peace over a stupid chair made of swords (it's probably not even comfortable to sit on) and power (always power). 😭💔 Poor Sunfyre was not prepared for Meleys. 🥺 Aegon is a stupid drunk who deserves to die from his recklessness (by his brother who wants revenge for all the bullying) but not Sunfyre! Such a sweet and innocent dragon. Aegon's ONLY good relationship/bond and he f**ks it up. 😭 Aegon's fall will absolutely be blamed on Rhaenys and ultimately Rhaenyra/the Blacks. Aemond and Criston will spin it to their advantage. 🙄 The battle between the dragons was intense and magnificent to watch, and it was clear it wouldn't end well for Rhaenys if she stayed, which she of course did. #TeamBlackAndRedQueens

I think the reason Aegon is so upset about not being listened to is because as Corlys once said "History doesn't remember blood, it remembers names." If he sits back and does nothing all everyone will speak about is how great Cole was in battle and how formidable Ameond was on Vhagar - just like they were saying at the council meeting before he left. He will be forgotten in history if he cannot make a notable contribution. I actually felt bad for him. He didn't want this, he never did. They never even trained him secretly to do the job correctly if they wanted him to have it. And now they belittle him for not knowing enough. He only started wanting to be King during the coronation because the people applauded and praised him, something he never got at home from his family. Alicent is a terrible mother. She didn't even comfort him when his son died and now when she actually speaks to him it is only to make him feel useless and worthless. I know people say that is because she got that from her father but that's not true because other people can go through those same experiences and choose to be much better as parents than their own parents were to them. Simply because they understand how bad it made them feel growing up in a household like that - they overcompensate for it. She is cruel because she wants to be nothing more.

The only green I like is Aemond. Alicent hates her kids. I liked how Jucerys stood up to Rhaneyra and she let him in front of the council to establish his place as heir. Why did i cry over a death of a dragon??😭😭...also, the battlefield scenes after, all the ash that were people, smoke, fire, people walking in shock...just shows when Rhaneyra said she is unleashing this and she dont just want it over a crown. This is like seeing the nuclear bomb being used the first time.

Vhagar’s two wins both being fast sneak attacks doesn’t sit well with me. She’s the largest, slowest, oldest dragon. She wouldn’t even be able to forseeable hide from Rhaenys on the coast (look at the scene when her dragon is flying below the cliff). Just lazy scene plotting like the hidden scorpions on the wide open ocean in GOT.

Oh god the Sniper that hit at 2,000 ft in the sky and then miss at 100 feet. Not nearly as bad. Still wondering why someone with her experience could get caught like that after winning the first 2 engagements. Wouldn't someone with her experience use the lighter dragon to climb then speed to dive bomb on and attack with height/vision? Seems strange to me a bit, although I don't think it would have changed the outcome but Meleys could have done more damage and had a better 3rd engagement.

@@matthewheywood8532 well yeah they did it purposely, the show didnt get made by mistake. but i think thats the only element of it they gave thought to. the characters in the show otherwise make very little comment on appearances. if anything, theyre more xenophobic with the dornish/criston cole than any of the dark skinned characters

The book writer is the lead writer and one of the producers of the show. Literally, the only reason youre upset is exactly what everyone thinks the reason is. If anything, it enhances the story. Season 1 it was so obvious about her children. Also, is it really so bad that other people who look different than you can see someone on the show who looks more like them? Ridiculous

​@@superkoopatrooper4879i cant tell if this was supposed to be directed at me but if it was, I don't see what I said to imply that I'm upset about it. its just obvious to me they didnt think that much about how some stuff plays in a modern context if the story isnt taking place among groups of people that generally look very similar. the number of people i saw that thought daemon referring to his bronze bitch was a race thing, for example.
