I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Paddy twice on Broadway in 'The Ferryman'. He was robbed of the Tony award IMHO. Not only will he be nominated for an Emmy for his portrayal of King Viserys, I'm betting he's going to win the best.actor award hands down! Episode 8 of HoTD will be talked about for years to come. It was a masterclass in acting, cinematography, directing, & musical arrangement! Bravo!

I’m glad Paddy was given the chance to show what a brilliant Actor He is to the American Audience…. Because in Britain We already knew how Good Him and Matt Smith(Daemon Targaryen) were…. Paddy was always known to Me and Millions of other English for His part in the Film “Dead Mans Shoes” which is from about 2004 when he played His Character so well being a unpredictable psychopath out for revenge that People like Me Who have only seen the film once years ago still clearly remember his character which just shows what a Talent He is…. But now I will think of King Viserys when ever I see Paddy!! That scene when He burst through the Door in the Throne Room and fought with ever Step to reach and sit on the Iron Throne with the extra satisfaction of seeing that snugness completely disappear from Otto Hightowers Face was the most Powerful Acting I’ve seen in a long time…. Man He’s has the World at His Feet at the moment, wouldn’t surprise Me if Hollywood came knocking!! and He deserves it….

I love Paddy's performance as much as anyone else (he should be Emmy nominated) but I'd disagree that he carries the whole show. Milly Alcock's performance as Rhanera is, IMO, just as good and Rhys Ifans has a very good yet understated performance as Otto Hightower. I'm kinda bummed that Milly Alcock and Emily Carey won't be seen anymore after last episode.
