Tyland Lannister negotiates with the Triarchy, trading the Stepstones for ships to break Rhaenyra’s blockade. Aemond, furious over Rhaenyra's increasing dragon power, attacks a village and assaults his sister, while Helaena refuses to join the war effort. Aegon, persuaded by Larys, plans to wait out the war in Essos. On Dragonstone, Jace struggles with family dynamics as Daemon, reinvigorated by a large host, and tripping his balls off, pledges loyalty to Rhaenyra. The episode hints at looming conflicts, with various characters mobilizing for battle, and ends with Helaena revealing prophetic visions.

ALL they had to do was let Rhaena claim Sheepstealer, and I could've been satisfied with the finale. There was no point to leaving it to next season, it's so obvious where it's going and it was built up all season. Thanks for the video!

You do realize the show got reduced to 8 episodes by the studio that owns HBO while being written for 10 episodes during production and due to the writers strike they couldn‘t do much then simply cut the season at 80% of the written stuff and added that armies walking montage at the ending to further tease the conflict… which they did now since S01E09

@@michelmorio8026 yeah, we all know about the season abbreviation ad nauseam. I'd say they did a pretty good job despite the challenges. In a perfect world, S2 would've ended with the Battle of the Gullet. I'm not going to cry just because I have to wait for S3 for that. We had the most remarkable dragon battle I've ever seen on tv this season, looking forward to seeing more of that in the subsequent seasons.

Like when she said he would have to beat her at something, I was thinking something associated with ships, or a knife game, or even hand to hand combat. But in mud? Like, is that really a thing. I felt like the writers were trolling us.
