I was so very sad for Rhaenys and Meleys, shed a few tears for the Queens. However I also felt sad for Sunfyre who obviousluly is Aegon best friend and his only friend really. That lil fist pump Sunfyre gave Aegon was sweet. That dragon is the only one to love Aegon and have Aegon's back. I'm a dog mom and oh man 😢

A great episode. I haven't read the book, but I knew Rhaenys was dead as soon as she volunteered. So I suppose Aegon will actually do nothing now as king. I can't wait to see what develops next.

You can see them lining up some kind of showdown between Aemon and Daemon in Harenhall. They really emphasized that this episode showing these Parallel between the 2. I love how the writers have fully flushed out how much they are alike, but also how how different they are from eachother. These past episode events may have pushed him up the ladder If Aemond and Aegon are gone he could be King.

Aemond/Daemon are amalgams of their names, btw. Hint as to what that vision of Deamon (seeing him w/eyepatch like Aemond), means *dramatic music*. Alys Rivers is apparently "centuries old" around 400 years old. I think Sunfire survives. RIP Rheanys and Meleys 💔 BTW, Meleys is 3rd o4 4th largest dragon. There's Vermithor; the dragon Daemon sings to in S1/E10. He may be bigger than Vhagar. Meleys was the fastest dragon! I hate when CG critters (especially dragons) get hurt and/or die 😭 This ep had a dragon battle (Dance of the Dragons!!) of the ages!

Aemond solo killed rhenys it wasn't a 2v1 aegon didn't do sht

It was a 1v1, Aegon simply was just a punching bag in that Dragon fight.

Anemond is the darker version of daemon, bc they both want power, but only aemond took active steps against his family. So when Daemon kills Aemond, it’s symbolizing him killing his darker self

@@sceneinvaders I'm loving HotD! I am so glad I took the risk in watching it. For me, as a non book reader, I think the story telling in the show blows away GoT. I loved watching GoT in the 1st handful of seasons but even then, I felt the story telling w as clunky. Some storylines/scenes felt like they were written as a shock value but not well executed. I'm also not into long drawn out battles with lots of sword clashing and slashing. The Battle of Rooks Rest was more up my alley compared to the Battle of the Bastards. Episode 4 of HotD was just epic. The visceral reaction of watching the dragons claw, bite, screech, spin... my goodness! Even the "flamenco" dance visual of the dragons flying towards each other was heart pumping. The original GoT series left me pretty traumatized. To me, it was an absolute betrayal of the years I invested in watching the show. I'm sure it sounds silly but I felt an anger as if those D&D effers intentionally mind rapped their audience and they ran off laughing, pointing to the sh!t they left on our heads, as if the audience was subjected to a massive prank. After that show ended, I wanted NOTHING to do with ANYTHING related to that show! I swore it all off with a huge middle finger. It wasn't until the night it aired that I talked myself into watching it. To me, this was real storytelling. I loved the focus of the two families all of season 1. Season 2 picked right up and it's been great. So far, HotD has helped me heal from that GoT betrayal.

@@treesab I agree with you 100%. At first I didn't wanna watch HotD based on everything you just said. But I binged it before Season 2 started so we could cover it and I'm happy I did. It's so good and the characters are fantastic. I'm right back in my Thrones mood - Dan (also thanks for watching) 🙏 🙏 🙏

Vermithor is the closest dragon to Vhagar's size (omitting the Cannible). As for claimed dragons, Helaena's dragon Dreamfyer, is the next largerst! Then it would be Meleys and Caraxes 😊
