The 4 years was in reference to the last time Rhaenyra and Daemon spoke to each other which was in episode 2. Episode 3 was roughly 3 years after that. So for it to be 4 years since episode 2 Rhaenyra would be about 19 years old. Also, keep in mind they also mentioned Prince Aegon’s age during the play that Rhaenyra and Daemon watched. They said he’s now 3. The previous episode celebrated Aegon’s 2nd name day. So that’s another confirmation that episode 4 takes place at least 1 year (but no more than 2) after episode 3

The ending montage was my favorite scene so far. Give me the aesthetics of the red hue of the weirdwood tree glowing in twilight, give me the dim lights, give me the gloomy ambience of a GoT wedding with an equally gloomy Ramin Djawadi soundtrack & hook it to my veins! That pause when Criston looks up and you hear the final notes of the haunting tune? Shakesperean. The very underrated heartfelt exchange Otto & Alicent had at the beginning was the most significant moment of the episode imo. Otto is not wrong. You either hope for Rhaenyra’s mercy in the future or you act now. It's the Tywin Jaime "we can establish a dynasty that last a thousand years" moment. The events at the wedding sets up the first chess pieces for Dance of Dragons. This is the episode the Greens come into their own. *Rhaenyra and Laenor were exchanging wedding vows, but it was Alicent and Criston who were getting “married”.*

Lyonel Strong, Lord of House Strong and Harrenhal, Viserys' new Hand, is the father of two sons: Larys the Clubfoot, and Harwin "Breakbones" (who is a very nice guy and will replace Daemon as Captain of the City Watch) - both will play important roles.

I agree, Criston Cole messed up so many times. He should've kept quiet about everything and he ended up spilling the beans to Alicent who now has another ally for herself. Crazy ending!!

In the 2nd episode Rhaenyra was 15 and Laena 12. It’s just 3 years of difference

If Otto truly believes that Rhaenyra would slaughter Alicent's children after Viserys' death, then how could he push her into Viserys' path with a future marriage in mind? As Hand of the King, Otto could have easily found a good marriage for Alicent with a mid-tier lord of some wealth and stature who was also fairly young and could give Alicent respect and kindness as well as children, and not plunge her into a dynastic civil war.

i watch several other reaction channels for this show, and i'm noticing there are two kinds of chics, those who hate daemon, and those who are kind of crushing on him, and i have to admit, the girls who like daemon seem like the ones that are funner to hang with....also, i see some others have called this one the green wedding

I think George RR Martin has already written the books (it had the release date of sept 8 2018) and they would not put a date publicly without the manuscript) but, since the decline of the show the publisher probably decided to wait so it gains more traction resulting in increase in sales. people hated the finale so they want to read the books for a different ending. there is a percentage of fans who only watched the show and not read the books. now they are starting to read them (people like me lol) they are thic books so you need time to read them. and if they release the book now people would skip the previous books to buy these one and from a business point of view it would make them lose money ...maybe George felt like changing somethings people expressed dislike on the show that he had also put in the books making it delay even more.

In hindsight, Westeros would have been better if Viserys had let Daemon and Rhaenyra marry after the episode at the brothel. And Rhaenyra is definitely not in love with Criston, he's her first lover, and she likes him, but Daemon is her true love, unfortunately for her.
