Daemon is married to Rhaenyra whom a lot of people believe is the rightful ruling Queen therefore Daemon having the title of King Consort should be adress as “his grace” Alicent and Cersei are / were also adress as “your grace” even though neither of them are / were ruling Queens same with any other Queen Consort, Dowager Queen, Queen Mother in the history of Westeros

Asking for a lady's favour before battle or tournament is an act of chivalry. It's a knight expressing his admiration for that specific woman and her beauty, but also for her as an avatar of the idealised divine feminine, as he strives to be the idealised masculine. But it can also be kind of scandalous depending on the context. Here its kind of scandalous because he's Lord Commander of the King's Guard and is publicly implying that he's DTF the Queen Mother.

Your Grace is only reserved for the male king and female queen. She gets your Grace. When a man is prince consort, he is my prince. She gets your Grace. It’s very gendered. People (men) think that a woman in power is one over than the man she is married to. She gets “your grace” he gets “my prince” because society thinks that a man under a woman’s thumb is weak.

First, yes the intro is being updated, the blackwood's and brackens hate each other, they used the conflict between the blacks and greens to kill each other. Fun fact and was confirmed by the director of the episode, three of those eggs are Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion, bit of a neat Easter egg. Yes the tavern girl is the same from season one who was assaulted. This episode establishes without a doubt, that war must now happen, and neither side can stop it.

I know it's been 2 years and a few episodes but keep in mind it's only been a few days since the King died. Very little chance of Rhaenyra getting pregnant again in that time.

@@KrivitskyM I tried it, it's just not for me. I think I liked the fantasy elements of GOT more than the politics. Not meant as an insult, but HOTD is more soap opera than GOT was, and that doesn't interest me as much. I know what happens and...not worth the ride in my opinion.

He is the king consort, not the king. As he's the first in the history of Westeros, people probably don't really know what to call him. Irl he would be the prince consort, and still referred to as prince. Doesn't seem to be the case in the show, so he might be making up the rules as he goes. It may not be cool with Rhaenyra for him to be called grace.

@@Blinkptx It's actually incredibly confusing and there's no real consistency throughout history for these terms. Maybe GRRM has a glossary of correct terms, I'm not sure.

Prince Philip was married to Queen Elizabeth II. That didn't make him king. A consort is not a monarch. They are not in the line of succession. That's why Cersei taking the crown after Tommen's death was so egregious. Notice that even Rhaenrya's council members call him Prince Daemon.
