If you can watch the show without taking sides, it will be much more interesting to follow. trust me.

GRRM destroys HOTD writers in his latest blog post..... his biggest criticism for episode 1-2 is excluding Aegon and helaena's youngest son Maelor.
@aegonthedragon63412 ай бұрын
Yes they are blaming Rhaenyra who is the one to actually blame alongside Daemon. They are both culprits, she's their leader.

A bit of confusion about who Harwin Strong is there. He's the one who died in the fire not the "exiled" one. :)

This! The incredible dialogue between Rhaenyra and Daemon and Otto and Aegon is exactly what was so sorely missing from the latter seasons of GoT.

Absolutely my favorite episode of the season, possibly of the whole show. The whole episode is a masterpiece, but specifically I could watch the scene between Rhaenyra and Daemon and the scene between Aegon/Otto/Cole a hundred times without getting bored. Great writing, stellar acting, just awesome TV

George Martin's work never about protagonist or antagonist ... In Books, both teams green and Black are terrible/good in their own way that thing's made his work great than other but dumba$$ showrunner whitewashed many things of team black and made it look like good vs bad, ruined many character's arc... I hope they follow Book properly for season 3, otherwise this show has already been ended for me this season.
@romainchambard43992 ай бұрын
Lol bullshit really. Greens are awful in the book, far worst than in the show ( alicent being an awful person letting rot viserys corpse during two weeks, Aemond killing luke intentionally). You are just a green bias.
@fabricio_borges2 ай бұрын
@@romainchambard4399 That's true, but the black ones aren't much better. There are versions that Daemon had Harwin and Laenor killed. Rhaenyra ordered Vaemond to be killed and his body handed over to Syrax, and I won't even mention other points to avoid spoilers, but if you've read it you'll know that neither side was well regarded.
@romainchambard43992 ай бұрын
@@fabricio_borges yes but I think the show has made the choice to humanize both sides, especially Rhaenyra and Alicent. And even with doing that, if the audience supports more blacks than greens, it's not the show fault, it's because the greens are objectively really wrong in their motives and their actions.
@marksaunders37232 ай бұрын
Oh cmon, be real! Fire & Blood is a favourite book of mine and it's pretty damn clear that the blacks are GRRM's bias lol All the fan favourite "good" houses fight for Rhaenyra, the Starks, the Tullys, the Blackwoods...and the blacks have all the cool characters, Black Aly, Bloody Ben, Roddy the Ruin, Cregan Stark etc, and book Alicent is the epitome of the Evil Stepmother trope, not to mention book Aemond being a psycho with no redeeming qualities, whereas the show has worked to humanise Alicent and Aemond. So leave off the bullshit take. And calling Condal a dumbass?! Check your own dumbassery first, champ...

@@romainchambard4399 Rhaenyra and Alicent were really humanized, but they still adapted some questionable moments from Alicent, especially in episodes 6 and 7 of s1. In Rhaenyra's case, they didn't adapt any of the more questionable moments and even added the prophecy, making it seem like she's fighting for the greater good and not simply for ambition like the other side. They also made the misunderstanding be Alicent's motivation for making her mean, however it just seemed like she is stupid.

What's so crazy is in the books it is said there was a spy on Aegons council and they end up thinking it's Larys because of his blood connection to Rhaneryas heir which we all know is BS but I wonder who it might be

See, Cersei is 100x the better mother than Alicent. We know that Cersei would have been straight to comforting her child, whether it Joffrey or Tommen. I dont get how ppl like Alicent
@fabricio_borges2 ай бұрын
Traumas generate traumas. Alicent's mother died while she was young and Otto never showed her love, only used her to get what he wanted. Alicent didn't necessarily want the children, she was forced to have them. As we saw in the first season, Viserys called her in the middle of the night and she was forced to go, because she was taught that she should obey her husband. Rhaenyra and Cersei chose to have children with whomever they wanted, for example. Rhaenyra had her father's love. And also the troubled relationship between Alicent and her children is the creation of the show. There is no description in the book that she didn't get along with her children, on the contrary.
@AlwaysRightAllNight2 ай бұрын
@@fabricio_borges True, but Cersei had her fair share of trauma, her mother died whilst she was young, and her father didn't really bother with her, as she was a girl. All i am saying is Alicent is a good ruler, terrible mother, whereas Cersei was a terrible ruler but a decent mother
