I was so anxious to get home from a trip and watch this episode. Unfortunately, this was not the episode to watch after 13 hours of airport travel (3 different planes from Northern Canada to the U.S.). I fell asleep several times and had to finish the episode today. I love this show. I was so excited for a new episode knowing this was a shorter season. This was just a tough one to enjoy after such a brutally long day of travel. It's a good episode, just not a great episode. And the Daemon scenes are definitely frustrating because they really don't seem to be moving the plot along. I guess we'll see if it pays off by the end of the season.

@liamdamon yea this was definitely my least favorite of the season. I get it's tough to follow up an episode like Rooks Rest, but they didn't convey the impact of it enough imo & we barely got to see Corlys, the character who's reaction I was looking forward to seeing the most. There were some good aspects, I enjoyed the Jace & Baela scenes but the rest was kind of mediocre.

Great breakdown. I also thought this was the weakest episode so far. Baela was great and it was nice seeing Jace step up. Really not looking forward to the Gullet now. 😢

Im beginning to actually believe that Alice is the same witch in game of thrones. She was able to know Damon's history of childhood being with his mother. She has some kind of spell on him. Or poisoned him with something. The dragging on has been going on alot

@Jjrdn10 Alys is certainly mysterious, in the book she can see visions of the future like Melesandre could. I think they're doing something similar here.

I don't think Criston is afraid of Aemond at all... Hellnhe trained him and don't forget he is a formidable warrior himself... He knocked Daemon of his horse and wasn't afraid to brag to him about it so what would he be afraid of Aemond?

@@centurynotes1677he just watched Aemond blast his own brother out of the sky, now he’s left to wonder what will happen to him if he ever steps out of line. That was definitely the look of fear on Cole’s face when Alicent asked about what happened.

SPOILERS: I am really interested to see how Vermithor will pass away in the show. Something tells me it will be different a bit, he is my favorite dragon and should've lived to surpass Balerion in size hopefully. Also, something tells me Caraxes will wrap himself around Vhagar's neck like a constrictor snake, I have seen all the shots of him in HOTD, he has no strong back legs, and slender body, he is snake like. He doesn't have the claw power nor the jaw power to mess with Vhagar, he has a totally different bodytype than say a powerhouse Dragon like Vermithor. He is also extremely vulnerable to get his head cut off because of his long neck. Heard it here first, he will constrict Vhagar's neck with his body and choke her to death while Daemon jumps and does the deed. Its gonna be epic. Even his movement is snake like.

2.3 might be my least favorite, so I’m hoping she comes back big with Red Fork. do you think 2.7 is House Piper setup and triarchy setup?

@ChannelHandle143 I'm really hoping we get a nice Triarchy setup in ep 7 or ep 8 if not. I think it'd be interesting if season 2 ended with Aegon the younger & young Viserys' ship getting intercepted.

A leaker is saying 2.8 isn’t Red Fork, but the Fall of Kings Landing (and ending with Triarchy coming, 3.1 is ship interception). Is this even possible so soon? That runtime is short.

@ChannelHandle143 in my opinion, no. I don't see how they could have the fall of KL happen before the Gullet. Once Rhaenyra takes KL there would be no reason to keep the blockade in place. Without that blockade there's no Battle of the Gullet. I suppose anything is possible at the end of the day, but if the Fall Of KL happens before the Gullet, then they're completely throwing the source material out the window at that point.
