Seeing this i have no doubt that the true mastermind behind the Dance of Dragons was Otto. Due to his ambition for the throne, he slowly sought to dethrone Rhaenyra, planting the seed of doubt by beginning to question the issue of succession and going to extremes by marrying his own daughter to an old king, ending with that crude manipulation where he warns Alicent that her children were in danger, because Rahenyra would kill them to secure her claim to the Iron Throne, which is possible but not probable due to their character and previous friendship. However, in the end the exact opposite ends up happening, because it is Alicent who seeks to kill Rhaenyra and her children to secure the throne. Great irony.

Subtitle folk did a bad job... its Laenor screaming drakkarys, not Daemon. Whole video is a poor disservice to Laenor image overall. Didnt even bother to show the scene where he is actually alive. It makes the spectator think that Rhaenyra and Daemon actually killed Laenor

And im sure he would have kept the castle a targaryen casle, and not what allison made it to be while he was sick. The Greens would not have had the power to take the throne without Otto having the power as hand of the King, so no matter what, Daemon would have been the better Pick if you ask me + his love for Rhaenyra on top of the love for his brother/king would have kept him in check to.

@PyroPeter87 he loved his wife to, what happened to that? Daemon only loves Daemon, he can't be trusted, you'll see as the show goes on. Peace has a big price, but it's worth it to have peace. Otto kept the city at peace. He loved the throne, that is it. He loved the power and the prestige of it all. That's why he took his own crown and returned to rub it in his brother face, because he thinks being king is a game. No one could keep the mad king in check.

Seasons 2-6 of GOT are some of the very best TV of all time. HOTD is totally forgettable and formulaic - watching them is just like reading a list of historical facts. HOTD simply contains zero wisdom and zero substance in terms of heart, wit, poetry, and humor. I was hoping that by season 2 the team would have learned from the biggest flaws of this show and they totally didn't... Ryan Condal is a zero and a huge mistake by GRRM to pick him to be the showrunner. That's why Miguel Sapochnik left - he couldn't stand this butchery of the beloved GOT universe. So it is totally clear by now that it was D&D who made GOT great and not really GRRM, contrary to the popular belief. GRRM is just a narrow-minded nerd with a huge stamina to follow the wonderful GOT with the drab, unimaginative, totally predictable, and wasteful HOTD. Just his last money grab, made possible by D&D.

I couldn't get into the first season because there were WAY too many working parts to keep track of, it didn't have a relatively simple set-up like S1 GoT. Way too many characters vying for the Iron Throne to really build any interest in any of them. I'm going to try with season 2 since everyone says its a banger.

Episode 1 was near impossible to watch it was so damn dark. I mean, I realize the show is depicting dark doings...but that doesn't mean they have to shoot the episode by candle.
