So now we’re gate keeping how to enjoy a show. If they still liked the show and found the dialouge dull its opinion. Joe and crew called out anyone who liked rings of power for being dumb or something when tons of his takes are based on book fan lore that some he got wrong or stuff I could see people not caring about as much like some armor not being dirty enough or a fight being not big enough given restrictions at the time of filming cause C. Overall I dislike this stuff where people can’t enjoy series unless they love them like I do. Etc. but this comment section is full of people talking more about rings of power than got so they gotta have someone to hate online to prop up their series. A series they don’t like can’t exist even if plenty are having fun liking it in their own way. Only shows I deem near 10/10 can be enjoyed and you must pay attention at all times. lol. Let people enjoy as long as they like it I see no issue. Don’t some of the gang on joe team skip cutscenes in games then complain their was nothing good about the story. 😢

I was so bitter when I started watching HOTD season 1 - felt like going back to an abusive relationship, I never thought I'd be able to accept it, but it proved me wrong big time. I hope they stay the course and keep the writing solid and free of any modern day tropes and commentaries.

I understand well your concern about the battles being shown or not. One of the biggest downsides of the early GOT seasons was that apart for the Battle of Blackwater in season 2 the War of the 5 Kings was felt very little in terms of action and presence in the storylines, surely due to the budget and time they had at the time. HOTD kinda did something similar in season 1 with the war in the Stepstones but that was due mostly to the absurd amount of content they had to adapt in only 10 episodes leaving not a lot of room for as much action as we could have gotten. That said, I believe season 2 will probably be capable to capitalize on the content it will adapt. The season will be 8 episodes instead of 10 and has been in development for almost two years, giving them a fair amount of time to work on it. They got a lot of the content done in season 1,so this season will definitely need for expansions as this is one of the parts of the story that has fewer details in the source material. The season was definitely more demanding on the production teams, but I believe they had all the tools to express most of the story's potential. The war is the central storyline of the show and I believe we will get to see it unfold really close to it's entirety. Big armies clashing, smaller schermishes, ambushes, naval battles, assassinations, duels, dragons wrecking places, armies, fleets and each others will all get shown in the upcoming season and the ones after it and I predict we will get to see most of it.
