Alicent knew that Viserys named Rhaenyra heir but went along with her plan anyways, partially through Otto’s manipulation. Rhaenyra only lied a few times, but this makes Alicent so bitter to the point she tells her sons that Rhaenyra will try to kill them to stabilize her claim, which is frankly delusional, and deserves some comeuppance at least.

I think you misunderstood, or I did. Cole didn't say Sunfyre was dead. "I left a meager garrison to protect it (Rooks Rest) and the Kings dragon. Sunfyre was long in the dying". Cole wouldn't know if he died because he left. I take it as he was close to death, but still alive for now (as per books).

That was not Cole's misjudgment in my opinion, people has seen or hear of dragons dying before, they saw balerion and meraxes skulls and knew about Aegon the uncrown. The reason smallfolk didn't care or take it as a bad omen was because they are starving. Is pretty common for people not to cheer when you oppress them and spend a ridiculous amount of money on irrelevant things, like a pointless war, just to parade in from of them.

Alyssa died when Daemon was three years old, so whilst he has memories of her, he never got to know her properly. I believe the screams were heard of her giving birth to her son Aegon, which is how she supposedly died (although many believe she was poisoned by the Masetors).

But then as the Black's pushes the Greens back SOME of the seeds flip, however that's only after a major event. And I don't think we will see that event yet, they might save it for season 3 maybe.

One thing you’re incorrect on here is the Sunfyre reaction. Cole says “Sunfyre was long in the dying and had to be left at Rook’s Rest to recover”. So Sunfyre isn’t dead, Cole is just saying he nearly died and needed to remain at Rook’s Rest to recover under the care of those left behind, as mentioned in the books. 🤔 Thanks for the video! 😊

I sort of assumed Crispy Cole doesn't get how resilient dragons are when he made that comment (since Sunfyre just kinda wanders around there until he can fly again in the books), but...sounds like he's actually dead, which is wild. This whole time we’ve really seen rhaenyra like really strong mentally, and I love how we got more of a struggling side with her. Which is super cool and just makes her more relatable and she played it so well! I just appreciate seeing her battling mentally regarding the war cause usually she’s just so good at holding things together. Except losing her son, that’s different.

The fact they mentioned Rhaena's failure to claim either Vermithor or Silverwing was quite interesting but also conflicting with the rumors that she will eventually replace Nettles character. If she failed to claim either of those dragons which are quite passive in comparison to a wild dragon like Sheepstealer, it makes little to no sense that she should be able to succeed in that regard. In season 1, she mentions that she intended to claim Vhagar and Aemond makes a comment stating that she should have gone ahead and done so. I just don't see how her character can just turn around from these failures based on the way they have written her.

I think that is a little hint that we will have Nettles. Think about it; Rhaena probably tried to bond with Silverwing, if not Vermithor and Sheepstealer as well. I doubt she would have just tried it once and with only one dragon. And somewhere I read they purposely lead us astray with the "Rhaena will take Nettles parts" and we know both vermithor and silverwing will have other riders. That's what I hope at least.

I wonder if Sunfyer is really dead or they just left him for dead. I think the original story is that they couldn't transport him and he just ate corpses until they started to feed him so maybe they will find sunfyer crawling around eating crispy people and realize he is not dead?

I believe we should realise that at this point, this House of the Dragon is meant to be a correct version of the book, not munkins' version or anyone else's. So enjoy the plot twists, like in every history book, they are biased.

⁠​⁠@@fielalmanga The definitive things they changed were the ages of characters, and some continuity, but the actual events are completely open to interpretation, which is what I love about watching this show, some people complain why some events don’t happen they way they do but I am always excited to see how different the moment was compared to how history viewed it, how prevalent the propaganda was to distort events, that some of the craziest bits of propaganda were actually true. I like how they depict some characters as better people compared their book counterparts to hint that the terrible things these characters did or will do were simplified and generalized to describe that character, when really it is almost always more complicated than that. Usually, history will determine your legacy based off the last thing you did, no matter how good you were before that. Spoooooiiilllleeeeerrrss!!! Rhaenyra’s last acts were terrible, so history viewed her in a more negative light, when the show is showing that she wasn’t actually a bad person before her downfall, and it makes it even more tragic knowing where her character is heading.

I don’t think Sunfyre is actually dead, think that line was for the none book fans who don’t know his later involvements. However If they do change that then that has some very big implications for the story and imo would ruin certain things
