Welcome to the heavy spoilers show I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking down House Of The Dragon.

The trailer for Season 2 episode 6 is now out and the seeds of the future are falling into place. Throughout this video we're gonna break it all down and to through whats likely gonna happen in the episode.

Ok so the trailer is very heavily based around the idea of claiming new dragons for the blacks which is a major part of the book. Throughout the season we've been setting up the dragon seeds which is where we left things in episode 5. There Rhaenyra and Jace were looking to the records and wondering if there were other targayens out there.
We've actually met some in the series so far with Ulf White, Hugh Hammer, Addam and Alyn all making appearances. These are brought into the blacks and used as a way bolster their dragon riders.
Huge shoutouts to Think story for pointing out that in the team black trailer you can see both Ulf, Alyn and Hugh dining with Rhaenyra, Jace and Baela.
Introduced in the book during the middle of the war we learn about how the Royals had a number of bastards out there:
House Targaryen had ruled Dragonstone for more than two hundred years, since Lord Aenar Targaryen first arrived from Valyri

It does. In the books Daemon is there for a year, and really has the epiphany that he really doesn’t have the temperance to be king. Which leads him to accepting the queen and he raises an army. It’s not filler, it all has a purpose. The show isn’t sidelining him on purpose like others claim. This is literally his story. But everyone is showing that like Daemon, they lack patience. Which i find funny. Everyone complained GOT was rushed and now they want this to hurry up. This fan base is so annoying.

Daemon is supposed to be team black to the core. Always. This stupid petty ambition the show is showcasing…its strategically suicidal for one. Confident or no, daemon should not be so foolish as to think he should half the blacks forces between himself and his wife, when the greens are united. Its just really dumb.

@@heatherpayne1995 I don't think Nettles will be in the show, as it's already pretty different to the book. Daemon went from being my favourite show character to one of my most hated. He also (show Daemon) really does seem to want the throne for himself and was just using Rhaenyra from the beginning. I far prefer show Aemond to book Aemond as he feels remorse for Lucerys death, which was unintentional - that makes show Aemond automatically better than Daemon - who didn't give a **** that a child had been murdered - when the actions of Blood and Cheese became known.

Its really such a shame, they definitely are trying to stretch the source material. Normally I wouldn't mind too much but with us only getting 8 episodes it just feels like things are moving at a snails pace. Part of what made S1 so great was the rapid pace that they had the story going at. It really didn't have much fat to the story. Beyond that I don't necessarily hate changes from the book for the pure reason of "It WaS iN tHe BoOkS" but it seems like so many of the things they are changing either are for the worse or at the very least don't make sense.

Beyond sticking to the story, people have complained about the GoT universe being too "white" and instead of using the badass source PoC characters they just change the race of others. And I have nothing against changing the race of characters when race isnt an important aspect of the character and the guy playing Corlys is actually one of if not my favorite characters/actors from HotD. But him being black and Rhaeynes not having black hair from her Barstheon mother creates such a big logical plot hole.. Like Rhaeneryas bastards being bastards was something whispered about and part of why Corlys supports the blacks so strongly is because he believes those kids are of his line. Not even Viserys would allow bastards to inherit the iron throne but with the changes, it goes from something whispered about to something undeniable.

The pacing of the episodes is interesting if you have read the book. They are getting so close with 3 episodes left, to the Blacks taking Kings Landing, Jace and Vermax getting killed in the Gullet and Daemon/Caraxes and Aemond/Vhagar killing each other. If the latter is pushed to season 3, it's hard to see how that's pushed more than a few episodes into season 3, max...then you have to wonder how long the series goes on afterwards because the cards start to fall quickly. I've heard they want to go 4 seasons. Most of season 4 would be the hour of the Wolf and post Dance of the Dragon stuff then I'd imagine

Aegon spent almost a year at Kings Landing recovering before Rheanyra took it and he fled to Dragonstone but that's gonna happen now in a couple of episodes. They're also moving the battle of the Gullet to after the blacks take Kings Landing, into season 3 when it happened before in the book. I'm betting you're right though, season 3 finale is what I'd imagine

I’ve been hoping the silver dragon in the trailer is actually silverwing, it has the coloration that does silverwings description and doesn’t look right to be seasmokes coloration that we’ve seen so far with him being white/blue grey with pink/pinkish white membranes being the trailer shows quite a large dragon and has distinctly different coloration and in the behind the episode feature for the recent episodes we’ve also been outright told by the showrunners that the CG team alter the size of the dragons when they need them to fit with specific sets and scenes so that they fit yet still look lose enough most people wouldn’t be able to tell. I suspected this early on bc season one caraxes is massive in the war of the step stones, like almost vhagar season 2 vs Meleys sized, or so it seems, and now he’s sized down to basically being a long boi Meleys, who again looked huge in s1 only to be dwarfed by vhagar in rooks rest. The dragon:set scaling with all the blue screen sets they use are in theory a good thing but when you consider the fact that the dragon pot itself, which Meleys makes look like a playpen in s1, PROBABLY was larger than the castle of rooks rest…. By quite a large margin. So sometimes it’s a good thing and sometimes not so much. It’s caused a lot of confusion in trailers and which dragons are what size when compared to gramma V

Wrong. Very wrong. Daemon's dreams are not the same messages. In the first one, he sees young Rhaenyra sewing Jaehaerys' head, which is to show his guilt about the child. In the second, we see him see young Rhaenyra in the throne room telling him he made her and then ruined her. Then we see him feeling high in the council meeting. Then in this episode, we see him getting dreams of his mother probably because of Alys Rivers which is to show his insecurities, childhood, trauma since he never even knew his mother. Lastly, he had a dream of River lords calling him a tyrant showing how he is losing control. None of these are the same thing. it is to show different sides and he also dreamt about children crying because of his war. Again, different.

I feel like the visions are leading to something, I think Alyce is trying to make Daemon reach a certain conclusion or truth but he's been refraining himself to reach it ...Maybe as we know how similar are Daemon and Aemond maybe these visions are helping him (unconsciously or as a foresight for the future) how to defeat Aemond like what would be the key factor that differentiates them.

Nettles/Rhaena is such a good change for me. A dragon riding suspected daughter of Rhaenyra who daemon protects and flees with(who happens to be darker skinned)? It needs to be. We see him give NOTHING to his children on a consistent bases. It will be the final act that pushes fans who dislike him into emotion when he goes out. Hoping Aemonds is love for Helena(brotherly and protectively).

Glad it’s not just me thinking that dragon is seasmoke. I got my ass chewed out in a fb thread because I said I think that’s seasmoke! I just think based on the size (the fact that the dragon came up the steps where as meleys pulled to the size and silverwing was older than meleys) and the fact that the face reminds me of seasmoke that it’s gonna be him 😅
