His wife usurped. Stepson dead. And he HATES that Viserys made a terrible choice to marry Hightowers and let them destroy and become a cancer to the Targaryen history. Yes. Viserys was a weak king. But doesn't negate the fact that OTTO AND ALICIENT are at fault for the current conflict. Had she not heard what she wanted to hear when her dying husband was speaking, kept his death a secret until AFTER her son was put on the throne, and had she just did what he said he wanted for the past 20 years....the conflict wouldn't have happened.

Daemon is a power hungry from the get go, even his marriage to rhaenyra was mainly political, why you making it seem as if he's just rhaenyra soldier without no self interest? how does that make sense for a chaotic character like daemon? Daemon is more of a threat to rhaenyra and her authority as a leader than the greens themselves.

I think not. If he was so power hungry, he could have made efforts to take the crown from Viserys. The people liked him more. He would have had support from the people and fear from the council. He didn't. Why? If he was so power hungry? I think he thinks more about family and legacy that people realize.

@@ManicMeeks He certainy does not have more support than viserys, he doesn't even have allies at the royal court except his brother, no one will support his lost cause, lords despise him and he despise them, and he did try to attack his brother when he ordered him to return the runestone as a punishment for mocking the death of baelon, if not for the king's gaurd we don't know what would have happened. he loves his brother but he have ambitions to the throne and made it very clear that he thinks of his brother as a weak king, he seduced rhaenyra to have her reputation smudged so no man marry her but him to have her throne. He can't steal the crown from his brother but can inherit it.
