In House of the Dragon Season 3, Daemon Targaryen and Aemond Targaryen will meet their end when they face each other at the God’s Eye, near Harrenhal, in a battle atop their dragons, Caraxes and Vhagar.
In the Season 2 finale of House of the Dragon, we saw Daemon at Harrenhal and heard that Aemond was flying there. Although Aemond will arrive at Harrenhal at the very beginning of Season 3, their fight does not happen then. Aemond takes an empty Harrenhal while Daemon tricks him into leaving King’s Landing defenseless. Daemon then uses this opportunity to capture the capital and secure the Iron Throne for Rhaenyra Targaryen.
However, Daemon and Aemond will meet and fight later in Season 3, and their battle will indeed take place near Harrenhal.
At the end of Season 3, Daemon, atop Caraxes, will engage Aemond, who rides Vhagar. During the battle, Caraxes will slam into Vhagar, locking his jaws around the larger dragon's neck. While in freefall, Caraxes's grip will tighten, even as Vhagar’s teeth and claws tear Caraxes's wing and open his belly. Despite this, Caraxes manages to lock his teeth onto Vhagar's throat and tear it out. In a dramatic moment, Prince Daemon (who did not fasten his saddle chains) leaps from his dragon to Vhagar, rips off Aemond’s helm, and plunges his Valyrian steel sword, Dark Sister, through Aemond’s blind eye. Both dragons then crash into the God’s Eye lake below, sending a splash as high as Harrenhal itself. Daemon kills Aemond, and Vhagar does not survive the fall. Caraxes, somehow, lives just long enough to crawl out of the water and die in front of the walls of Harrenhal.
From Daemon’s visions of the future, we know that he also survives the fall, but it remains unclear how long he lives afterward. This battle will be the final event of Season 3, and the last we will see of Daemon is him alive in the lake.
All of this will happen in Season 3 of House of the Dragon, the prequel series to Game of Thrones.
