I really enjoy your tone and your playing and I appreciate the musical resources you provide us FOR FREE! But the time you take to share the gospel and provide an application for the song, that is such a blessing for me, man. Thank you for loving the Lord and sharing His love with all of us.

You are what a worship leader should be. I think we are to be ministers just like the levites in the old covenant that would prophesy over stringed instruments. We shouldn't just be christian "rock stars". Keep doing what you are doing. Your channel is a blessing both musically and spiritually!

Man I just love your help on songs like this. But more importantly your heart for the Lord is so encouraging. Learning to play skillfully is important, but the heart of worship is so much more important. Both are excellent. Thank you for the time and heart you put into this. Can’t wait to get home and work on this for Sunday.

Hey Troy, How does this neck pickup (single twin domino) compare to the "normal" p90 neck pick up in a Starplayer TV?
@GuitarforHISGlory3 жыл бұрын
Similar, if I recall. It's been few years since I played a Starplayer, but this neck pickup is snappy and "woody", and that's how I'd describe the Starplayer as well.
@yopeppy80343 жыл бұрын
I have a Duesenberg and I swapped out the domino p90 for the single twin domino, and it was the best decision I could have made! The single twin is way clearer, and middle position is way more useable.

Great playing! I am grateful how God has been using you as his instrument to encourage others. Btw, do you do a request? One of the leaders at our church created a song that I feel the need to add some grove in the electric guitar part. It's on Spotify / KZbin: "Won't Be Moved" by Northview Community Church. Hi Troy, I always enjoy your video and reminders to not lose focus of the gospel!! Just a quick question, I saw that you were using Dusenberg in this video! If I had a choice to buy between Dusenberg Starplayer and Gretsch Penguin, which one would you recommend
@GuitarforHISGlory2 жыл бұрын
After a pickup change to the Duesenberg D-Tron, I prefer the tone of the Duesenberg. I prefer the look of the Gretsch. I can’t imagine that’s helpful. Haha. Sorry, bro!

Troy/ team how do you get better stability while using Capo. I struggle not bending and causing issues, capo should be mega tight?? anyone.
@GuitarforHISGlory5 ай бұрын
Too tight is BAD, as it causes the strings to go sharp. Bending with a capo isn’t a great idea, as the strings have a difficult time returning to pitch.

We do a few Phil Wickham songs but I confess, I've never used a capo when playing my electric.
@GuitarforHISGlory3 жыл бұрын
It took me a few years of playing at church before I embraced the capo. LOL. I NEVER used one either; however, once I stumbled on a few songs that sounded better using open strings that are only available with a capo, I realized there was value in it and that it wasn't a crutch, like I originally thought! 😆

@@GuitarforHISGlory Hey Troy, yeah I should probably give it a try. By the way, I usually get comments when I wear my GFHG shirt, I love it! New Phil Wickham song= chorus/vibrato and palm muting
@GuitarforHISGlory3 жыл бұрын
Oddly enough, this has about 95% less vibrato than I would’ve thought. Somebody else commented something similar on the video I made for Battle Belongs-the way he phrased it was hilarious. 🤣 For this song, I was thinking: New Phil Wickham song: *Vibrato: Put me in coach. I’m ready… *Me: Not this time, Vibrato. Not this time.

4-6 hours per video, plus the considerable amount of money I have invested in cameras, editing software, etc. I put every video on KZbin for FREE and then ask for $10/month if you prefer access to 100+ videos with tabs and lessons. Consider that before you get too uptight about what resources I offer and how I offer them. 😃
