My mom passed away unexpectedly a couple weeks ago. As I turned the radio on in the car on the way to my parents house I prayed that God would speak to me through the music. The first words I heard when I turned on the Message were "There's joy in the house of the Lord". I burst out crying, it was like it was just for me at that exact moment. Fun to learn to play the song now! Thanks for the videos

Having gone through the passing of my parents my prayer for you is to receive the comfort only Jesus can provide. Please remember grief can be experienced in many ways (sadness, anger, despair, responsibility etc) and sometimes more than one at a time. For me the first year after my dads passing the beat I could do is lay in his bed like a child and cry. Of course we don’t know each other and you may have experienced the passing of a parent or someone very close already so please forgive me if you have. I had to allow myself to grieve and not worry about (stiff upper lip) what others think. Both of mine have been gone over 20 yrs and not a day goes by I don’t think of them and that’s not a bad thing. It never leaves you but it gets better as time goes by. Yes there is Joy in the House of the Lord! God Bless

When I were first started playing, I was having trouble with strumming patterns so one thing that helped me was listening to the high hats of the drummer and also accenting with the snare.
@saucyj253 жыл бұрын
5:38 the emphasized strums are actually the "&" of 3, and the "e" of 4. Notice he strums DOWN for the "&" and UP for the "e." #16thnotes (thanks for the great video!)

I pretty much play the song when I lead worship exactly the same way the only thing that I would recommend that you’re not doing on the bridge is he goes back-and-forth from G to a G suspended fourth and he does that with the voicing where he says the words royalty and Running free. Other than that thank you so much for taking the time to do these tutorials I know it helps a lot of people to play the songs and glorify our God and Savior. May God continue to bless you

this was very helpful. my worship leader and i had some conflict over the way the song started. i heard the a and the be. he heard the g chord and the c chord. watching the g chord and hammering on the a and b through the chord shape created the ah ha moment.

Hey there! I love your videos. Please make a tutorial for "The Lord Is Coming" by H.E.R. The chords are easy but the picking pattern is challenging to learn. Thanks!

What are you guys doing on the high E of the Dsus2? (ex at 10:36) I see the chord chart doesn't specify. If I leave it open, we get the 2, but not the sus, right? It looks like he's playing it open there. Thanks for the tute!
