But it is relatively simple. Nothing difficult as far as rhythms go. Your hands stay in relatively the same place for most of the piece. No jumps. Etc.

A lot of people don't actually know this but House of the rising sun wasnt written by the animals. It was a 1933 blues folk song.

It goes way far back to the 1500s in England. It's original meaning was lost to time. Some say it was a pub song, others say it was about a brothel. Or a man who perpetually returns to the same Sin that he can't get away from, like a dog, who throws up, only to lick it all up again. Later renditions put their own spin, a woman who's in an abusive relationship that she cannot escape. A woman who in prison called the rising sun. And finally, a man who grew up poor and with a broken family, stuck in addiction.

my father loved playing this song on the piano. Unfortunately he passed away little under a month ago and I never got to record it as the piano was sold in my childhood. Hearing this is beautiful and gutwrenching but not in a bad way. I'm glad that I got to listen to it again even though it wasn't my dad playing
