If I recall correctly, this episode played immediately after the Super Bowl in 2008. I had it recorded, but because the SB went longer than expected my recording for this episode was cut off before the final diagnosis and before I found out that Wilson was dating Amber. I watched the next episode the following week and was confused. Thank God for Hulu today.

Ironically if he’d let her fully undress, instead of letting her be a bit more comfortable in the coldness, he’d have spotted an issue and had his answer sooner. The moral: don’t be sentimental when it comes to health. That preacher boy’s Dad finally admitted his son was a hormonal boy nevertheless, and the truth came out.

I know that this will probably get buried in the pile, but I just wanted to say to the person running this channel: Thank you so so much for what you do! I believe I speak for all of your viewers when I say we're so grateful for all of the work you put into this channel. Also, it's a real shame that these two were divided by so much distance; I feel like she would have been one of the best matches for House in the long term (although I guess that does mean they ultimately would have broken up anyway, otherwise we wouldn't have gotten the ending that we did). Still, it would have been nice to see him be happy with her for at least a little while.

We've come to expect House to fail at human connections and relationships but this was particularly nasty. He found the perfect woman: bright, perceptive, beautiful, and 10,000 miles away. And another heart break for the roster.
@KingOfHarems9 ай бұрын
I love how in this episode, it kind of proves that love really can make House a "worse" doctor. In some way, his detachment from patients helps him stay subjective, and not allow his vision to be tainted by anything other than the facts. But on the other hand, we still see in other episodes that no matter how much he wants to stay detached from cases, he still can be swept along by his emotions, like in the episode with the woman trapped in the rubble. I like that the show would actually show that sometimes, the way House felt and lived his life, was quite a reasonable outlook for someone who must have gone through so much pain in their life.
@poopshitcrapwaste9 ай бұрын
"subjective" means that somebody values their own opinions over the facts it basically means "ignorant" and "moron" as in denial of any facts based knowledge. as house as a doctor based his medical diagnoses on medical facts and these medical diagnoses were corrected by other/new medical facts he was "objective".
@dawidp42279 ай бұрын
@@poopshitcrapwaste "Subjective" doesn't mean "moronic". If you say "Bohemian Rhapsody is better than Under Pressure" it's subjective, because it's your opinion, but you don't have to be a moron to think that.
@thomaswalmsley89599 ай бұрын
@@poopshitcrapwaste subjective is a word (like many in the English language that is context dependent). In philosophic terms, it's contrasted with objective, subjective meaning either preferances or requires or is interpreted thru an observer that requires a personal experience. Objective means that which requires no observation/experience experience, or would exist regardless (sometimes summarized in the phrase, reality is that which exists regardless if you cease to, ei it's objective). Two contrasting examples would be, the laws of gravity would still funtion the same regardless if any human mind were there to experience it, whereas if House is a good or bad show requires the subjective experience of a human mind and a statement on its "goodness" or "badness" in order to determine. What you're actually describing is what is considered irrational, not subjective.

I remember reading a fascinating analysis of this episode that pointed out that the guy who drinks her pee actually has a leg injury on the same leg that House has, and is like a literal stand-in for House at North Pole.
