An atmospheric river is bringing severe storm conditions to the North Bay. Near Forestville, a home slid into the Russian River during a mudslide.

@@MengGuoZhou mitigate risks by investing in infrastructure. Pretty simple actually. The problem here is, the county spends most of its discretionary budget on policing, not the taxpayer residents who fund the coffers.

River resident here. The problem with getting insurance is a stacked deck in favor of insurers and against consumers. They are more than happy to collect premiums up until a disaster happens, then they fold up the tents and skip town with their riches.

When I asked my insurance agent they said my policy does not cover land movement. State farm did not offer me a land movement ryder option, even when I asked about it.
