Dear Jess, you are the loveliest new mom making a home full of joy and joyful color. So exciting to have early works of a now important artist. All good things are coming your way.

Loved her decision to select color palettes based on a memory/experience, vs basing her interior design choices on things seen on Pinterest/Instagram. 🌸 Also adore the wild flower arrangement and the garden.

You both are deservedly proud: so easy to throw money (if you have it!) at a home and designer but just as your daughter is going to feel a meaningful connection to each of those carefully made embroideries and blankets and know a feeling of being loved and thought about, so are you always going to have that feeling of connection and reward for effort from the work you have done to make your house into a lovely family home. I really enjoyed seeing it all and hearing the stories behind your cherished items. Thank you.

Loved this tour. Not so much to do with the things in the house, but because of the homeowner. Such a sweet personality and sweet sentiments shared about the home they’ve built.

Too much clutter and unsafe practices like candles on walls and shelves above seating when there is plenty of room and no WC on the main level for guests. The garden could have been extended slightly to accommodate that. Not everyone wants to go upstairs to use it nor should they.

Saying" like" every other word really grates which is a shame

The one massive mistake with this house was not installing open-tread stairs - the light would shine through from the back of the house, through the dark hallway to the front door (and it would look much better than that awful black block of stair (sorry)). Nothing special.

Open tread stairs in such a house would be a crime!

Would be incredibly jarring in a Victorian house.

It wouldn't go with that period and they would lose money in value which is why you'll hear those who own those houses say they look at what the neighbours have and try to keep it the same.
