My favorite tours are those of UK homes and country cottages. Love everything about them…from the architectural details, the wallpaper, color on the walls, objects and furniture pieces. The homes are so inviting, homey, well travelled and well lived in! They don’t look ostentatious or too perfect! Just plain beautiful and unique!

She’s an absolute delight. Love her story. Love her home. For those who complain about the storytelling, you don’t have to watch. Nor do you have to be so rude.
@primrosedahlia9466
@primrosedahlia9466 24 күн бұрын
I agree that its unneccessary to be rude. I think the issue though, is that when she talks the camera is on her and not on the interior.. so people dont get to see the room properly. So I think its more about the camerawork and not the storytelling in itself. Homeworthy should start filming more of the interior after doing the interview/presentation, so that they can show every single detail of the home when the homeowner speaks. One example was when she was talking about the maroccan rugs and they didnt show them at all.

One of my absolute favourite homes featured. She knows how to tell a story and her home is a testament to that. So artistically put together..she’s a true artist. I can’t fathom why anyone would follow a trend ….more fascinating to go with your heart and do you..after all your home should reflect who you are…her home is a real lesson in that. She’s obviously not short of money. So dreamy …wish this video was longer. Full of character, treasures and colour the way I love it ❤ Those teapot lights in the kitchen give a sense of Alice in Wonderland…whimsical.

I think many people misunderstand the meaning of this channel. If you pay attention, their tagline is “ where we believe every home has a story”….lets be fair to the camera man or woman who is most certainly getting shots of everything. I believe the issue is in the final video edits, which focus on the story of the home and the character of the homeowner to give an overall sense of place. This is not just a home tour channel, it’s a people channel. It’s not everyone’s thing, but I love it. Im all for constructive criticism, but I wish people would be kinder with their feedback.

I agree. I have to admit that some of the home tours featured on this channel can be a bit heavy on the art history/antique provenance side, but in general I find them all quite charming. Not everyone’s cup of tea, I guess, but no one is forcing anybody to watch.

There is a difference between "every home has a story" and "every homeowner has a story". The difference is in the featuring of the home, not the homeowner. I don't think the homeowner shouldn't speak. I just think the homeowner should not be the center of the viewfinder all the time. Often the homeowner talks about something and the cameraman does not show the thing the homeowner is speaking about. It's not about editing post production as someone mentioned. It's a matter of the cameraman/woman.

@naomifrakes6474

@@vanessazlatic7849 I understand the feedback about the angle coverage and wasn’t trying to invalidate it. However the home only has a story because of the people who have lived and are living in it. A close friend of mine is a cinematographer and so I know what I’m talking about. Each of these tours can take the team half a day or more to film, for the 40 min of footage that is chosen, there are hundreds of shots not included. Editing is about a narrative. I think viewers are having an issue with the narrative rather than the camera person. And that’s for the content creators to fix. As one of the lowest people on the totem pole in terms of pay, I hate to see a camera person blamed for everything. I take issue with the mean spiritedness of the commentary though, not so much the point of it.

Love the idea of your bedroom giving the feel of a Sunday morning lie in. As an American, I absolutely love these English interiors and the whole attitude-incredibly charming. I personally would never think to put items in the window, but her windows are quite large and the ceilings are high as well. It’s such a different way of utilizing space. I noticed in every single room, she put a couch or bed under the window, which I would never do because I love to look out windows. But that’s why I love watching these videos-people have different viewpoints and styles. Mine is almost entirely influenced by my Mothers style (what I grew up seeing every day) and others who are similar to me. Now, I’m inspired to think in different ways and to imagine different approaches. I’m so type A and love clean lines, but I love the homeliness!

I don't know if others are criticizing the homeowner bcs I haven't read all the comments, but my criticism was addressed at the work of the camera person who shows the homeowner more than the home. If you watch this show because you enjoy seeing other homes, I would think this criticism would be welcome. Unless you watch the program because you are interested in the homeowners and not the home. But I don't think that was the intent of the program.

What an exciting treat to see your whole home Sarah💝 Thank you for sharing your stories, decorating philosophies and artistry with us. As you mentioned possibly repainting your gorgeous kitchen - perhaps you might consider a pale, joyous, warm, flattering pink for a fresh lightness in your gorgeous kitchen? Your current ochre colour has a density and heaviness to it. It would be fascinating to see if it entices your family and friends to enjoy it, as much as they do your “late afternoon” room✨ Thank you again for sharing your exceptional self and home💞

The house itself is really lovely but for me there is too much stuff everywhere even though I would call myself a maximalist (but I'm decluttering constantly). Luckily all her windows can be opened to the outside, otherwise she would not be able to open a single one because of all the things standing and lying there. I really like her colour scheme which is kind of romantic 😊 All the best to her🍀 and greetings from Germany 😊

So ANNOYING that the camera person has the camera pointed at the host almost all the time and very little on the house itself. We get a quick snapshot of a room or a corner and then back to the blah, blah, blah. It's not an interview, for heaven's sake! So many people have commented about this in many videos, over and over again, but it seems that Homeworthy doesn't read the comments. As nice as the hosts can be, THEY ARE NOT THE SUBJECT MATTER of the video, so do what you are supposed to do: showcase the house, not the host. Nothing. Radio silence. This is what separates amateurs from professionals.

I wonder if Homeworthy will pivot with their format and actually just film the home with host in the background instead. It becomes really irritating when the focus is on the hostess and her prairie style dress. In mean I understand that many of these ladies are homemakers but they don’t have to dress in these awfully oversized little house in the prairie style dresses. I mean I never see any one in public wearing these dresses.

100 percent agree I watch the video on speed 2.0 the entire time the amount of talking is just ridiculous and the homes are beautiful and I love seeing and sometimes finding out a story or two about the home but lord these people boast on and on about nothing really most of us dont really care where u got something we will never be able to get or see again. It is torture sometimes I just lower the volume completely and just watch quickly if the talking is too much. I will say that this is my fav channel and I do love watching but, like a said the talking is too much and the videos always pointed at the person talking not at the actual things is not fun.

This episode doesn't differ in edit or direction from previous ones. I have noticed in the comments some rudeness against British homes. They are quainter and quirkier, at least the ones featured here, than the usual American ones. I wonder if it's a kind of xenophobia. Other than that, I'd prefer if we could see more of the house while listening to the person talking.
