Thank you jessel your home is beautiful and what's even better is that you own it. Most people in the West do not own their homes they rent. And if they say they do own their house the bank owns the house till their mortgage/loan is paid off

Tropic heat is stored in the concrete exterior during the day, and so is warmer at night. Wood is better on the outside. Wood is also better inside too. Concrete is better for colder climates.

Living in a developed country, we take most things for granted. Having a roof over your head and a bed to sleep in doesn't need to cost you an arm and a leg, just as long as you are safe. The simple life is always the best life, in my opinion. Well done, Jessel, you will finish the house in your own time, I'm sure.

I was interested to see how you designed your house and how it looks. Lyn sketched our house and the 600 peso per day men from the barangay executed under our supervision 7am to 430pm. 430pm to around midnight each day Lyn & I continued their work, calling ourselves the night crew. We found that for details, such as painting the walls and laying the tile we do it ourselves, as I am very picky about things looking perfect. I keep telling Lyn she should consider KZbin as a source of income, so soon we are going to put our home building videos and stuff on KZbin too. Thanks for the video, nice to see a similiar mind.

Jessel In the philippines Your content is amazing. I love that you take care of your family and make sure they're okay first before anything else? That means a lot to me to hear You Say that. I'm like how simple you're able close to your family. And do things together like wash clothes together, eat together and you're so comfortable with all of it. Because that was the way you were raised. I absolutely love that I am you. Are you are grateful for how you erase and how you were born? You wouldn't trade that for anything in the world. I'm the same way. I love where I came from and I wouldn't change for anything in the world. You love everything about what you have done for your family. It just means the world to me to hear You Say that and. You see your bedrooms and? And to come in on those issues. Everything's so amazing. You able to build a house for your family? I just love it. I just love the stories. I yes, it touches my heart so much. I think everybody wants to build a house for their family or that your mom or dad, you know and take care of them and you did that. I love how your mom put the sheets over the windows. So you can have some shade in a daytime. I love that. It's very important that we all stay humble. No matter what? No matter what you get in your life or what you don't get in. Your life always be humble. There's always someone else. That has it worse, and if you can help somebody else helped me. We all get related to this video. But I wanted to help people in be there for them Thank you for this video. Have a good morning, have a good day, have a good afternoon. I'm Cedric Nash. The house is about three years rent.. looking at it since you paid for that extra space between where.you want the drop down ceiling and the top do you really want to block that.space off.. having a streaky paint job on top of what is there might look good except for those hard grey lines... Not having a building permit adds risk to building anything else I would.talk to.an attorney..style wise there may be a way to connect something two floors esp if you have to repair for some reason. The house is cool.

We are building the same size house with a bad exchange rate AUD & only spent around 400,000 & almost done. The property is my wifes family land & no need for permit. My wifes younger sister is the project manager & we get deals on the materials. Very lucky, you wont hear this happening with many foreigners, as they throw money around to the wrong people.

@@ABritishGuyAndAFilipinaHaha so true mate 😂 Yeah then they post crap on an expat fb site & play the victim, without the understanding they are a guest in their country. You can get scammed anywhere in the world, happens even in the West all the time too. My wifes brothers are masons & builders, & if we ever need more labour it is all people close to the village who know what they are doing also as builders. My wifes mother & father are getting a house built for them by my wifes wealthy cousins in the US & they just sent 1.5 million pesos to a builder in Manila they started building the house in Pangasinan & it was too small 😅, so then they had to rebuild! The cousin in the US was furious & my wife said she doesnt want anything to do with it.. We allowed them to store materials in our unfinished house, but now have asked them to store them elsewhere. In the meantime my wifes brothers are employed on that project as well haha.

Jessel found you on an another video from the foreigner who was interviewing you and you were showing the house. So I came here and so happy you built this for yourself. But I'm confused! 3 months ago I built a house for my love's family.... completely finished in 3 months, enclosed roof, finished and painted inside and out, with a patio and a small outdoor dirty kitchen. It's about the same size judging by your video. But I spent only 400k and then another 50k for the air conditioning. But I'm so confused! How did we build the same size house for half the price, and completely finished??? You spent a little more on the laborers but I guess your materials were more expensive. The big question is the size. You say it's 200 to 250 square meters... but can you measure? Just measure with your feet by walking on the outside... see how many big steps (1 meter) you take walking the length, and do the same thing for the width? Then post the numbers here? It can't be more than 50 square meters, right??
