I was watching this video and wishing that I knew Scott. He seems like such a kind, gentle soul. When he was talking about books, I thought "gee, he should see my library..." then, when he talked about auctions, well...great auctions here in northern New Mexico --- AND he could wear his wool sweaters. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this video.

@@keithbuchanan8588 LOL! Hope not. I would imagine he had enough lighting in there for night, but I love the idea of a kitchen that "closes" for the night with just a soft light on for ambiance. I share his dislike for islands, too. They're fun for guests, but if you're cooking a big dinner and need to focus on what you're doing, having people talking to you and staring you down the whole time is not ideal.

This man’s house is gorgeously curated! I agree wholeheartedly, a kitchen should be its own entity. So many people these days buy homes and take out all the walls. They forget each room has its own energy and character, which is way more interesting than living in a rectangle with islands. 🌿🐚🌴🍸

I agree. I love the concept of rooms! I think the open kitchen concept has come about because people want their kitchen for a showplace rather than cooking meals. Yes, visitors always congregate in the kitchen, so we need a happy medium. He has basically walled off his visitors from entering his kitchen space, and I like it.

I love his sensitivity. Love the dark moody colors.Stevie said she sold this house because there was no parking. It is literally on the street. She said people that came over had to rent a ride and be dropped off and picked up.I am so in love with this house and how he has made it his home.

That is interesting because I was wondering about parking when I was watching this. You can see that the house is right on the street. I'm assuming he has a typical L.A. back alley access with a garage, but little to no street parking. Love L.A., but parking is always an issue. But who cares, if I have off street parking and THAT house, I'm good with it. Y'all can Uber here and back to visit! Ha!

The history of this home is very cool… and I wonder if Scott feels the vibes of the previous owners? I can tell what a talented designer he is, as he has that innate eye and like a designer I work with, does not insist on throwing out pieces, just because they are not “current” or “perfect”. THAT is when you truly love your home… it reflects your interests, past and personality. Scott has that in spades in this gorgeous home.

Darkly enchanting indeed, and a soothing relief from the relentlessly white walled (often draining, to me) California aesthetic. One thing about dark rooms with windows/good natural light I never hear mentioned, but that is obvious and _not_ depressing, is how they illuminate the human form--or the light seems to bounce off walls onto people and they emanate a certain subtle glow within windowed walls darkly painted.

Love the spirit, *awareness, and *sensitivity Scott had upon approaching the house's re-make, interior design. Love when *context (terrain, subculture, stucture's architecture) is honored in interiors. This always gives vibrancy. Add to this an owner with substantial taste, a sense of proportion and motion, the dynamism of placement, and one on a dimensional and creative life journey - and you've really got something. Glamour in combination with warmth is a kismet couple , a kismet happening, and great fun to visit on video. Much thanks to Scott and Homeworthy.

I love the care and character of this home. Not boring, not super expected choices, but not garish or over the top. Creative, but with good flow

I love this home and his eclectic design aesthetic. The combination and juxtaposition of precious and ornate pieces/bold patterns/ and spent, and/or found natural items creates such a beautiful, almost melancholy moodiness many people shoot for and fall short of achieving. I also feel compelled to add that I think he is incredibly handsome. He's giving me some heavy Rick Springfield vibes (if Rick Springfield hadn't ruined his face with unnecessary plastic surgery.) I am also quite a fan of Stevie Nicks (and Fleetwood Mac!) and feel like in some way, this is almost a more natural and masculine (for lack of a better term) spin on her more feminine, witchy, overtly gothic style. The title is fitting, he and his home are both incredibly enchanting. By far, my favorite Homeworthy installment thus far!

The history of this house alone breathes love and romance! I love how Scott honors this home with his unique design and items that have a heartfelt meaning to him! The outside pool area is just dream-worthy and gorgeous! I love to hear the owners describe the reasons behind their personal designs! Another excellent tour, Homeworthy! 💝💞💝💯

stunning home! His use of texture and color is a juxtaposition that is calm, soft yet elegant and dramatic. His bedroom its " modern Moroccan" if that is a term. I also collect pods and seeds from nature that line several floating shelves in my kitchen.
