We went on a class trip to the state capital Springfield when I was in 8th that was back in 89. We visited Lincolns grave the state legislature, and we saw the governor's mansion but we didn't go inside. Too bad we didn't have cellphones back then. Beautiful renovation job 🫶🏿 from Chicago.

Being a Chicagoan my whole life.....I truly appreciate this! OMG the history! Sharp lady!!! I know they can't but she needs to show her home....they are multi -millionaires and are a long established prominent family in Chicago! I love that she loves HOMEWORTHY ! So do we!!!!! As a resident of Illinois, I really enjoyed this tour of the governor's mansion in Springfield, Illinois. MK Pritzker did a beautiful job of making the home beautiful for not only visiting dignitaries but her family as well. It must be a delicate balance of making the governor's mansion homey but stately at the same time. I would enjoy more videos like this. This mansion is one to be proud of for all Illinois residents.

This was a treat! This is my first time seeing Mrs pritzker and learning about her as a person. Also my first time seeing inside of the governor's home in Springfield. I love the dusty aqua color she chose for her favorite room. The entire home is decorated beautifully

I know Jackie Kennedy added her touches to the White House and provided a tour. Well….a fabulous job Mrs.Pritzker orchestrated , research and combined it in a coffee table book. The very old vintage combined with modern aesthetics , remodeling and design is breath taking. When one considers the brilliant job her husband did with the budget, continues to strive and achieve in so many other categories it is quite apparent Illinois has been blessed with the greatest Governor and First Lady ever. J.B. Pritzker is without question a Presidential hopeful and god only knows what his wife could do with the White House. Heaven on earth !!! Stick around Illinois another term J.B. , you will have pulled us out of a macro quagmire to excellence and then run for President. YOUR COUNTRY NEEEDS YOU!

Historic buildings need to be preserved and used. We need to be less wasteful and respect our history. Too many buildings fall into disrepair and end up torn down. Preserve your towns history and support you local historical society
