I'm speechless. Thank you so much for introducing us to Teddie Garrigan. I love her unassuming tactics for furnishing a home with antiques and modern pieces. She's the first person I've come across on your channel who's style even remotely comes close to the venerable Bunny Williams.

Such a pleasure meeting Teddie. She is a lovely, lovely woman who has created a beautiful, cozy and ever so interesting home. I appreciated it when she said that her home made her feel "super secure". I've never heard that before from a decorator but I can imagine walking in her front door and immediately feeling that way. I really enjoyed this visit.

Teddie, you might not know this, but your Venetian style secretary belonged to Iris Barrel Apfel and I dusted it so many times on the 8th floor of the D&D building at her company, Old World Weavers in New York City, back in the late 80’s. It later went to auction after it did not sell. Iris had it repainted in the coral and green motif over in Long Island City in her workshop and warehouse where she and Carl stocked fabrics and antiques. Seeing it in your home was like seeing an old friend. I am glad you love it. You are such a charming and adorable woman. I love your home. Cheers! Dean Yoder

The thing I love most is Teddie! She seems like such a down to earth, grounded human. Her humor is so subtle, but she’s naturally funny! I like cozy minimalism so this home is the opposite of what I would feel comfortable living in. That said, I absolutely love how Teddie he has decorated her home. She’s made it a haven for her, her husband and family. You would never know it’s a high-rise apartment! It shows like a beautiful, stately home. I really enjoyed all of the stories family history. I watched this video twice so far.😆 I appreciate Teddie sharing herself and her home with us.💜

What a beautiful, fascinating home! It's so elegant but still warm and homey. I love the story of Teddie's art, furniture, and pieces. Decor that's been collected over the years and has meaning to those who live there is what makes a house (or in this case an apartment) a home. I was inspired by so much during the tour, especially the idea of having an easily accessible and attractive basket of family photos where friends and family can flip through them. Such a fun conversation starter.

After saying that they have been married 47 years my favourite phrase of hers is : "there is nothing that is off limits to anyone, our grandchildren or adults" As a married woman with 8 children she spoke to my heart and I'm amazed that you can have such a beautiful home that is welcoming to everyone. We will leave all our earthly possessions here when we die, so I believe it makes sense to enjoy and share what the Lord allows us to have with people🤗 I also needed to hear her say several times that we dont need things to match, im already pretty eclectic,...but hearing this from her seems to come from wisdom and has freed my mind up quite a lot now.

Love this! As one who lived in Dallas for 30+ years, I was always extremely intrigued to know what some (or even one) of all those high rise apartments were like on the inside! While a bit too traditional for my personal taste, it's an absoluately lovely home, done beautifully, with taste and warmth. But having just moved cross-country, I couldn't help but think about what it would take to move all those items somewhere else, yikes! (especially all those books!) Hope you are staying cool in Dallas, Teddie!
@AB-ol5uz Жыл бұрын
Probably an 18 wheeler or 2 worth of belongings for a cross-country move! She's in an older highrise so it's great to see how much of the original features have been retained while still customing for their own collections.
