Jade & Tanner Tolbert For your master closet you could totally fit a complete shelving unit and have it installed and even a small island in the middle. A closet system will open the room up a lot more. Also, cloud couch - stains really do come out easily, I was able to get blood out of our white one! And coke + pizza sauce 🙈

I loooove the upstairs hallways with all the windows, adds so much character! Kitchen is great, all you need is paint for the cabinets like you said. Keep the vibe simple and just add elements of the outdoors in! Less is more!

My kitchen I also painted the dark brown cabinets white, it took 3 coats and didn’t do anything with the interior, now I saw on Pinterest to add a pop of color on the inside so I’m doing Caribbean blue and I do like your idea of pale grey on the island 🌴 just to break it up. You guys have a beautiful home 🏡

The house looks great! I would say in the kitchen, if you want to keep the island and just change the color, maybe use the grey that’s running through the stone as a color for the bottom of the island and continue similar shades over to the cabinets, it’ll fit in with your style and also with what’s already there! I love the banister on the staircase, maybe there’s even a way to just fill in the peg spots with just a solid glass half wall, topped in the railing - modern but classic and super kid friendly!

Our vacation home has a courtyard in the middle of the home that has a fireplace, TV, and outdoor furniture and it's my favorite spot! I love sitting out there at night with the fireplace on

You could take down all the upper cabinets on the wall with the hood and replace them with a taller hood and open shelving similar to your kitchen in your last house. I know you don’t love the dark cabinets but this could really brighten it up in there and wouldn’t be too much work. The cabinets look really nice, there are just so many that it feels dark. You could tile all the way up or you could leave the backsplash as is and just start the bottom shelf right above the tile. Or you could paint the upper cabinets white but leave the rest. That would really brighten things up in there too. There are beautiful examples of this with the stained lowers on Pinterest.

If you paint the cabinets white, it’s going to look washed out with the white backsplash, unless you’re going to change the backsplash to a grey or other color. 😊 Beautiful home. I miss living in Cali.

I love your grey and whote cabinet idea. O also saw a really cool kitchen that had a mercury glass mirror in place of glass in the cabimets. So you get thst glass look but you don't have to see what's inside the cabinet. Pretry! Can't wait to see what you do with the courtyards!

Omggg soooo pretty!!! You guys should do all light gray kitchen cabinets. It'll go with the white granite counter tops. For the stairs, you guys should do a metal staircase. And then also paint your walls a nude color.

You guys need a rug for the living room and a rug fit under your dining room table! Also one for under your office desk, under your bed and etc. rugs really add detail and color and contrast :) also In front of your bed you should do a seating area with a table or something

Def need a shoe shelf and a bench to put them on, in that closet of yours. Add some jewelry cupboards as well maybe? Unless that is already in your bathroom. Love love the outdoor spaces, I’ve always wanted something like that. Also, thinking you might end up getting a bigger tv downstairs. And yes, make the cupboards white and the island a nice blue, or grey-blue. In the master, I’m wondering if you want a chair or something somewhere. And I agree, it is a nice canopy bed, and those night stands fit perfectly! Thanks for sharing!

I think your kitchen ideas will look really nice.. I like the alternate color island (that island is HUGE!) idea really make it a statement. Definitely do a closet system so much potential! A center island in the closet would be cool, with drawers and a place for the suitcase (to pack and unpack that is elevated) too... I am sure the traveling won't slow down! I think it's amazing you had built your home in KC, stables and everything and then decided to do things differently and just did it! People get stuck in life and don't just leap... I think it's awesome! (I am sure you get some judgement on the move.. just want to be sure there is positive too!)

I have the Ikea white couch sectional and I just wash the cushions...rugs might be nice to warm it up.. Maybe even a larger TV since your place is so huge.... Your baby is adorable!!! Be careful with the stairs..get some baby gates, but I am sure you already know...lol Oh, be careful with stand alone mirrors in Calif. I have lived through 2 large quakes and you don't want that falling over in a 6.0 quake!!! Yikes! I know...I hate to even bring that up, but I lived in Reseda when the huge one hit, and our furniture landed upside down and all over the place...our kids miraculously slept through it; they were little and guardian angels were watching over them!

White cabinets, dark grey backsplash, black hardware-even a black faucet! Also I think it would look nice to change out the door to your laundry room for something with some more character so it’s not so plain! In the bathrooms I would frame the mirrors! In the WIC I would add an island where jewelry and small storage such as bras, undies, and socks would go! In the bedroom I would add a bench at the foot of the bed and a rug in the bedroom would look very nice. Love the house! It will look great whatever you all decide to do!

I love the huge island, that definitely gives a lot of prep space. I think you guys should spray the cabinets and change the hardware. Maybe do two tone cabinets with white uppers and a nice colour for the lowers bcoz the kitchen has a lot of upper cabinets and it tends to get crowded up there unlike your previous kitchen. Whit will help them fade into the wall.

As for your kitchen and the cabinets, have you ever thought of doing a light yellow for the uppers and a grey for the lowers? Just putting it out there. I watch HGTV all the time and I’ve seen several different kitchen makeovers and they have used those colours. Also love the idea that every room comes with its own onsuite. I would do a two tone look in the kitchen! I would do the upper cabinets white and the lower cabinets a rich green or blue. If you don’t like color go with a gray on the bottom and match it with the island. You could also replace more of the upper cabinets doors with glass for a more open feel. Put lighting inside the glass cabinets to brighten them up.

Love the house with the courtyards, windowed open spaces. I like white cabinets for your kitchen. I thought maybe you could do jade or a deep red for the island to commemorate "Paradise" or something colorful. Jade's engagement dress was so pretty. Great idea for the outside firepit/grill area.
