i used to wonder why they talked about moving so much in the future, especially since they took the time to build the house and make it their home and now i have realized that they would have nothing to do with all of the empty space when all the kids leave and it makes me sad to think that they are all growing up.

@@thetruthhurts540 that the same as my parents. my parents built their home and it’s a 5 bed, 4.5 bath and now it’s just the two of them. They just want to keep it in the family and it’s great for family get togethers.

Looks like one of the houses that family coaster lived in at one time...the kitchen, laundry area, family room...looks exactly...oh, well, looks like a large enough home for several people to share.....now is the time that your kids who move out will realize just how much you did for them...not that they didn't, but I think they really grasp it once they are on their own.

My parents move a lot so it’s really not ideal for me to want to stay at home but I honestly never wanna leave me parents. I’m a sophomore in college and I spent the first year away at college and I was coming home every weekend. Never realized how much I loved my parents and they are my best friends. I now do online college and live at home with them. It was the best decision for me

My oldest Chase (22) is still the only one moved out so far! I still have 4 left at home 14, 16, 19 and 20. My 20 year old works full time and is staying at home as long as possible to save up money for him and his gf wedding and then they want to build their first house and i support that. he will probably move out around 22 when he has a good down payment on his new build. You seem to be handling this well, I would not be I am going to be a mess when my house starts to empty :(

Just waited for them to grow out of it. Nothing we tried worked in terms of prevention. They chewed their share of shoes for sure. I always told the kids their fault for leaving them on floor. But they grew out of it around 1 year old.

As you get older you really get over having stairs in your home. At least I have. My next one will be all on one level. If I had small grandchildren staying over I would want them sleeping on same level as me so I could get to them faster in an emergency.

I don't even notice the difference between a battery operated toothbrush and a manual toothbrush. 2 minutes of brushing your teeth id not long enough. I just learned that I am very much a cat and dog person.
