I’m Nigerian, living in Nigeria. But I can totally relate to the forbidden living room. It’s meant for special guests and always kept tidy incase the president makes an appearance 😂😂😂. I loved seeing this.

Salam from Pakistan 🇵🇰 The 'forbidden salon' is so reminiscent of the kind of drawing rooms we had here in the 80s with the same kind of ash trays and carved wooden sofa sets 😀 The sound of the Quran recitation coming from outside was lovely ❤

Dear Jasmine & Dawoud, Thank you for sharing Dawoud’s grandfathers home with us all, my girls and I have been following you both since you lived in Canada, we live in Seattle Washington and enjoy watching your many adventures. I travel to Dubai often to visit my parents and always hope I might bump into you guys in a mall for a selfie😉 Stay blessed and may Allah bless all the people of Lebanon❤

Great video and insight into what is a great childhood home to have visited and grew up in. You can feel the heat and the "back home" atmosphere of the place. It is also great that regardless of your success, you are not afraid to show your roots and the rawness of it. P.s. You're grandad has had enough of life... He is hilarious... He's at that age where he just tells it like it is 😂

I haven’t been to Lebanon in 19 years, this vlog makes me miss it so much and gives me all the feels, my fathers family are all from Beirut. I always get food poisoning when I go there so that’s why I haven’t been in so long.

@@M.Đ-z4u yes this is the beautiful concept that westerners with (me myself and i ) philosophy will never understand people do live in apartment building with thousand other strangers on different floors so why not living with our own brother in different floor of one same building?

I am 83 and grew up with grandparents. In those old days, it was still usual for elderly parents to be cared for by children. We in the West have lost so much @@Ayla40902

Walekumassalam ❤️ ! I also have a big extended family and some of my cousin's kid are older than me and in our culture we consider cousin's kids niece and nephew and not second cousin 😄 ! Also , we still use that kind of toilet seat here in India even the newly constructed houses have those .
