Girlie idk if you can edit clips once you post a video but I think you should consider removing some clips like of the full front of your house / your keypad to get into the garage / etc because there are so many creeps out there 😅 better to be safe! Regardless, your house is stunning and has so much potential - excited to see what you do with it :)

🤣🤣🤣 She did have me expecting the worst but her dad actually has pretty good taste. If it were up to my dad everything would be black and grey and functional utilitarian except a big ugly lazy boy front and center. Thank God for my mom.

I'd make your bedroom the large one upstairs with your office. The room downstairs with all the doors should be the dining room. There really isn't a good place to put a bed in there and it looks like it was intended to be a dining room. Then the smaller "nursery" room the guest room. That way when you do have guests that aren't staying over, your room and office don't necessarily have to be clean. Plus having your bedroom upstairs would feel more secluded and tranquil!

The bathroom up there is so small though so I would want the master to be downstairs if I were her.

It's so icky to me that you have to make a disclaimer about the state of the home you're moving into. The fact that the "huge", "modern", "influencer" type homes are so normalized that you have to say anything at all is so gross. This isn't any shade towards you, we can not help the way that social media affects the way we view things. It just, unfortunately, just is now. I haven't even seen the homes inside yet, I'm at the 3:50 minute mark. You saying to remember this home isn't "new" etc just makes me so sad. To some people, this "fixer upper" home is the epitome of luxury. How did we get to a place where we have to make these "disclaimers"? Where ever you live Molly, or anyone in this world, wherever we live, it is perfectly fine. Whether we strive for a different house or we do want bigger, that is an individual choice that depends on so many life variables. We owe no one any explanations for why we choose the place we do to live at. Even if it's a place we don't necessarily want to live at right now but it is our current reality. Having any place that we can call our own in any way is an immense privilege. I hope you do not allow society or social media make you feel as if you are less than for where you live, work, whatever. You are more than these things. Never lose ambition but do not allow social media or society to dictate why you make the choices you make.

Omg, I have been waiting for this video! I am seriously so excited for you. This is honestly like my dream starter home. The house is already really cute, but will be even more gorgeous once you put your personal touches on it! Can't wait to see videos of that process. Some ideas to consider that I don't think you mentioned: - A bench by the door would be nice; I have one and delivery guys typically leave my packages there - Changing the drawer knobs in the kitchen could make it look more modern - You could close off one of the doors to your bedroom to have a little more wall space - Green or blue for the door! It would look cute with the pink flowers - I would love to see a mini series where you transform pieces you got either at a thrift store or Facebook marketplace

Such a cute house! I recently bought and renovated (from 1980s!) my first house too! I had a similar 2 door situation in my bedroom, and I actually closed one of them off and dry walled it. Made the room feel SO much bigger and gave me some extra wall space! Just a thought for yours - you could close off the door by the stairs and it would give you more wall space in both bedroom and entryway! It wasn’t that expensive either, but was a major design and space upgrade.

Congratulations on homeownership! the basement closet looks similar to one in my last house during Covid. I turned it into a pantry for and dry goods, food storage and extra toilet paper and paper towels, so I only had to shop once a month. 😂

might be a larger undertaking, but if you used the bedroom downstairs as the master, I would consider just getting rid of the door into it that's near the stair case. More wall space for your bed and more privacy for the room as well.

The closet in the basement would be great as a backup pantry storage. if you guy toilet paper, towels, shelf-stable foods, etc, in that space.

I don’t know where it got lost in translation that my dad has given me a house as a gift. I very much so paid a down payment and will be paying every bill related to this house going forward including the mortgage? I may not have gone through a bank for a loan but I bought this house.
