For the couch and tv problem you should check Mantel Mount you can pull your tv down for movie time and move it back when it’s not in use!

Yes I concure with mantel mount if you keep the tv above the fireplace… if you are not sold on keeping the tv above the fireplace, I’d get a low tv stand and put it on the wall where the green chair is now so that your eyes are level with the tv and then adjust the coach and chair …

Love your new house congrats! In no way am I an interior designer but had some suggestions. The TV downstairs as it does look high for eye sight could hang it on the blank wall at a lower height may need another size lounge to fit the space as it would need to rotate to face TV. As you have 2 beautiful feature lights in the dining/lounge space could just replace the ones over the kitchen with white downlights and let the dining/lounge pendants be the feature. Upstairs suggestion could then hang your cow artwork above the fireplace downstairs. Bring your comfy lounge upstairs and place where piano located hang the TV on the wall where the cow artwork is currently located so could be a cosy movie night space. The room where you guys love morning coffee looks like a beautiful space could be nice to set up music creative space and bring the white storage shelf in the random storage room to use as a storage cabinet. ❤

I think I would look at some closet management systems as that would really help you with storage. Having that downstairs room where your alcohol is, as another storage room with shelves sectioned off for linens, maybe games, other items that you need to store. Having a proper home for everything is so nice. Also in your mud room, I would add some shelves under the bench so you could store your shoes better. That way they won't come out in the walkimg path as far. Just a few suggestions. It is a beautiful home and I am so happy for you both!

Very Beautiful! congrats. I would recommended doing a DYI on coffee table and paint it white. Put a long mirror behind the dining table. the closet room next to the mud room, maybe turn it Into a half bath or laundry room or closet for coats and shoes.

A few on the left a few on the right and leaving the middle section empty for a nice portrait or painting. I think it would look so nice in that space and go very well with the decor you have now

I don't know if you would want a fold up bed after awhile especially having to fold it away....maybe a fold up sofa?? The round table would be super nice downstairs or in your music room but anywhere it's at is all right!! ❤❤❤ .I remember when you made a video of packng a lunch, getting on your bikes and going to a nice locale...I think there was a boardwalk on the way! You might like a carefree kind of theme? Getting someone to upgrade a room would be fun! Would be nice to see in a week or so!!

I feel like a butlers pantry for your pantry or alcohol room with cabinets and open shelves. Maybe an awesome coffee bar. For the upstairs. I love a good Murphy bed/ library nook. As for the closets, they need some cabinets and drawers. That way you can put your linens away and still be aesthetic.

Put a large rug just under your dining table. Swap that plant for a larger, leafier one. Hang an oblong mirror on the wall facing dining table to reflect light. Get some warm tones in to add warmth and colour to the living room as it seems too beige. Beautiful home tho, congratulations! Get plenty of throws and cushions for accent chairs and add a corner shelf. Hope this helps!😊

Congrats on your new home! Pillows on the chairs at the counter is not a bad idea. You can put up shelves underneath the benches in the mud room. Might help with the messiness. I would also angle that mirror in the bedroom. Other than that, don’t be so hard on yourselves! It’s coming along nicely.

I think on the plain wall in your living room, you should buy some frames that are black frames to match your coffee table and put pictures black and white of you both together like 11x14 like 6 or 8 frames. 3 or 4 on top and the same thing just below

Love your home! Suggestion: I have a hood over my stove like yours and have white cabinets. I painted the hood a champagne gold color and it’s now everyone’s fav part of my kitchen! It would transform the space and recommend you paint yours!!☺️

I'd love to put my 2 cents worth in since you kinda asked for it. 😮 I personally feel the chaise to your sofa best suits the other side where you put that chair. The chairs scale doesn't blend nicely, in my opinion. I feel a chair with a nice print or nicely warn leather would suit the room perfectly. I am sure you can incorporate it in another spot in your huge home. I think the dining room needs an accent wall. Either wood, slate steel, or a copper finish would bring the earthy feel you seem to be attracted to. Pictures, definitely! Always a nice touch and a way to make it your own personal space and not an institution. Good luck. I think one of the worst decisions I made through my different homes was to feel the need to fill space because the room was there. Make the spaces you currently live in a priority and leave the others until you are certain. Also never buy anything that you cannot pay for without credit. That means if you put down a card, you pay it off BEFORE any interest can be accrued. Make it a rule…you’ll be thankful later. As for that little room that is essentially useless, I’m with Talia to build it out with shelves and make it into a butlers pantry. At first you can use it for other stuff (packages, seasonal pillows and throws) but as you accumulate crock pots, punch bowls, flower vases, and other occasional use items for entertaining at home or taking to parties …you will absolutely love being able to have a dedicated spot for everything. Walk up and grab it when needed and put it back without having to rearrange a closet when you’re done with it. That will immediately prevent having transition time on kitchen counters and elsewhere as you go in and out of holidays and seasons.
