As an American, I find these tours really interesting. They help me understand what similarities and what differences there are in new construction between our two countries.

Me too. The one thing I notice, every room is independent of all the others. So many doors! I believe it has to do with heating only the rooms you are in. ?
@enlilw-l26 ай бұрын
@@cathynuytten798yes for heating reasons and also when you cook something that has a strong smell you can close kitchen
@Birdie3365 ай бұрын
@@cathynuytten798I'm not sure it is. At least no one really uses it this way. People enjoy the privacy/seperation of different activities but you will notice they nearly all have an open plan space in the house typically along the back of the property.

I like following your house tours. This kitchen is fabulous. My question concerning the dining room, would be, why not have an access from the kitchen? This way, you have to carry your dishes, then open the kitchen door, down the hall, open the dining room door, place the serving dishes, etc. The way this is set up, I would be too lazy to use that dining room. Too much back and forth. Unless I could hire the two of you as cook and server? 🇨🇦

Rather than talking about the decor, that doesn't come with the house, I would much rather hear about how many plug sockets there are and where there are USB plugs and other things that actually are part of the house.

Something I’ve noticed they do in the UK (we’ve come across it in Airbnbs too) is putting the clean towels on top of the toilet lid, never seen it here in France
@jackielliott56583 ай бұрын
Because there is nowhere else to put them! No room in these bathrooms for shelf units.

I dont know if i missed it but I didn’t see a laundry , which I’m afraid would be a miss for me .

The bathrooms are too small, and the wallpaper is awful. I do love the kitchen, though. It's perfect. I don't think you need that many downlights. Great tour, boys. I really enjoyed it 😊

All these new homes look exactly alike to me. Differing finishings maybe, but identical otherwise. Is there no variety at all with new builds in the UK?

Table too big for Dining Room?
@irenedavo37686 ай бұрын
Or maybe just wrong colour!
@mezzamuddle6 ай бұрын
I agree. The table is too big and smaller chairs would probably help, although they do look very comfortable for a lovely dinner party.

Decor looks like its been designed by a child

They are trying to give the impression that 8 people can sit in here. In reality you would use a smaller table or no one could get out of the room once seated!
@greendoor51176 ай бұрын
Would be more helpful to know dimensions of the rooms and available options rather than focusing on the decor

Don’t like the interior design at all.but let’s be honest when you buy a new home it’s a blank canvas and you do everything to your own taste.

There’s just something cheap and tacky about Barratt houses - even the show homes and sales centre looks cheap. With them being so large, even owning David Wilson Homes I just can’t understand why they seem so poorly designed and finished.
