I'm envious of your skills! I have a small herd of 30 Boar / Nubian cross... I have learned so much since I got them 15 years ago... Nature truly is amazing, Spring plants help them recover frm winter and prepares them for summer, summer plants keep them going, and fall plants de worm and get them ready for winter... In winter I have to subsidise their diet with alfalfa.... Mine free range here on a half section ... kidding season I do pen the nanny and newborns up till the babys can keep up with the herd.... I do spend nights with them to protect them from predators... It's satisfying to be a part of nature.... I absolutely love your content and I learn a lot... thanks for you..!

We camped ALOT as a family growing up for weeks at a time in Oregon where it rained much of the time so I know alot about primitive camping and it is knowledge that has served me well throughout my adulthood. Now as a mature adult I am making use of modern technology: generators, solar panels and portable battery stations living "tiny" in a well insulated stick-built home where there is far more comfort and convenience behind doors and windows and where I run all kinds of lighting and appliances including microwave, refrigerator and air fryer etc. to survive comfortably in the mountains, far away from all the insanity going on in the world!

She did say it's her summer home and that she lives in other types of tents, when in back country. And perhaps, she's replaced tents when they get work--doesn't mean she changed her off-grid lifestyle, just that she invests in replacing things, when needed.
@caprakhan16 күн бұрын
Good observations and awareness, you are right, this tent has only seen one winter, definitely not 13! Haha! I shred gear, I don’t try too, I take as good of care of things as possible, but with the goats and the weather, I have to repair gear often and replace them eventually.
