Taking your destiny and putting it in your own hands. I started out homeless living in a Jeep Liberty about 6 years ago. I lived in the Jeep and saved for a year and bought a brand new cargo trailer to convert to sleep and live in. I’ve since bought a brand new truck and paid it off early. When I get tired I rent a cheap flea bitten hotel room for a while to regain my strength and focus. I’m houseless still but I have a sizable savings account and I’m debt free. Stay focused.

What a hapless string of events! A complete turnabout from last year's privileged management digs. Have you considered that refusing to start earlier than planned this year when they asked you could have led to them dismissing you early? Since you agreed to their final housing option, which turned out not to be available, that may explain why they decided to pay you for those final ten days. Be happy for that. Think of your next two weeks as your vacation. Be grateful you experienced this while in the continental USA. Imagine if something like this were to happen to you if you were in Antarctica. Be careful! Your survival skills may be called upon to face difficulties down the road. But do not ruminate. Inhale nature's beauty and leave the past behind. 😊🎉

Maintain calm. Break everything down into steps that can be managed. Listen to your gut feelings. Do not reveal your vulnerabilities, such as location, resources and weaknesses. Do not get in others people's homes or invite them into yours without knowing them for at least a year, as predators will bait and trap, and can wait for that moment for months. Enjoy the small things, nature, treats, moments; be kind to yourself. It's not about going viral or finding a free ride out there, it's about figuring out what you need and desire, and then finding acceptable means to accomplish your goals. Safe travels and blessings to you 🙏🏾

I get it, I totally do. I had a seasonal at a glamping site in Maine this summer and had some of the issues you did. I'm not in a mgmt position so I couldn't request anything but I get the dealing with half assed mgmt, drama, less than stellar situations. Personally, I feel it is the nature of seasonal work. Most don't have background checks and the caliber of staff we got reflected that. But I also know, from coworkers, that lots of crap goes on in seasonal work places, usually homeless folks (and I mean homeless, not houseless as one commenter corrected you🤔😖) your situation was awful and I'm sorry. I, too, would have been flexible and adaptable because you weren't imagining it would continue to get worse. It's your positive work ethic and that gets taken advantage of. Crazy enough, I did my first seasonal 30 years ago. Some drama was the same but not so much ethical stuff, I think it was because it was owned by one guy, not a conglomerate. I actually interviewed with him directly at his Star Island home and worked his resort in NC. I feel your pain, frustration, anger, disappointment in why people just can't be reliable and responsible human beings. It's sad to me that the mgmt that carries out this extremely unprofessional work ethic is just as bad as, the upper mgmt requiring them to do it. And i left early too! I wasn't ready either but I do have a family and I was needed. But almost the next day, my mind switched as I grieved the change, then I could see only positives about leaving and see the mess I was leaving was for what it was. I was no longer trying to make the best of a half wtitted operation. I get you, Christine. I'm with you, more than you know. By the way, no more seasonals for this "seasoned " gal 😊

After I retired from the Army I went back to school to become a Motorcycle tech, Almost directly after school I took a 5 year contract job as a traveling tech for Indian Motorcycles, While I travelled I lived in a 16 foot pull behind camper while keeping notes of everywhere I went for 3 months at a time, my likes of the area, dislikes of the area, Cost of Living, tax rates and all that while spending very little. After that contract ended in June of this year I came back to one of the dealerships I worked at during that 5 years and liked the area not just the dealership and paid cash for an 8 acre plot of raw land that had a 18x24 (432 sq feet) building on it. I lived in my camper while I gutted the building and built a completely off grid tiny house, once again with cash. I now live in the tiny house completely debt free and still have a good chunk of change left in the bank and this spring I will start building my homestead, I'm not going "full bore" on my homestead, I'll have some chickens, plant a decent size garden and plant some fruit trees/bushes so I'll still have to buy SOME things but that will give me a chance to socialize outside of work which is really important to your mental health when living off grid/homestead.

The lack of response is alarming, but a sign of the world's outlook: "yeah, it's going to happen." The non-caring, who cares, etc., attitude is the problem with the world. If it ain't a career, you should check out the food deliveries, such as door dash etc, very flexible and nationwide.

Have you ever thought about a pop up camper off Facebook marketplace? Or maybe a hardshell camper. Hope things get better for you ❤ You deserve better ❤

You are very right to be upset by your experiences there. Safety is the bottom line - and fire safety is definitely important to be concerned about and is not trivial. You are exactly right they are allowing complacency to develop by not taking that seriously and that can indeed cost lives. Good on you for holding the line!

Good thing you are out of there. That sounds horrible to deal with. Good job standing up for yourself and communicating the issues.

I just found your channel! So inspiring, and you take everyday by the rope and make the best you can out of your situation! So beautiful to just enjoy life! My fiancee and I went from living in my beat up little pick up truck (that has gotten us through so much) and now we have a pull behind camper. We're in one place right now, but as money gets better and life becomes more durable, we wish to go down the road and see where it takes us. There have been a lot of different emotions... fear, anxiety, anger, stress, hopelessness, depression, and lots and lots of tears...but also joy...cause things slowly just keep getting better every single day. I'm subscribing, I look forward to following you on your journey!

I live in my car as well. I work remotely, but I can not afford rent. I should document my journey. Way more Americans citizens are doing this. It should be known. There isn't any decent affordable housing. We have money for wars and to help immigrants.

Hi from Donna in R.I. I will be in Port Townsend next month visiting family. It's awful what you've been through. I am not at the end of your video yet, but so far it is unbelievable. I feel so bad for you! I am really enjoying this video. I go to the Peninsula every year. Sometimes twice. I have been to all of these places. I love it!

Hi, thank you for sharing your challenging story. Be careful lady. Expressing your love for adventure the Scenery is beautiful as well as your pics. Traveling is a lot of fun. Living in your car can be dangerous. Unfortunately many live in their car or van. Inflation right now is horrible. I admire your strength and courage. Hope one day you find a better cleaner room or you can get better safe housing permanently . God bless!

I'm planning on moving into my van soon, been going out on travel trips and also lived in my car for 2 weeks...yes, also I create videos...little bit different than most youtubers but I love creating these kinda storybook type w/photos and music more than being on camera...although I have included SOME vlogging...I love adventure too! I was never like this until after 2020 and started watching channels like yours on youtube...so I just subbed your channel and I'm excited to watch your travels! Also, sorry you went through all that mess...sounds like a lot of incompetency at that place!

Nomadic introvert lives in her SUV. Check out her channel. You will like it. She lives outside Las Vegas and travels. She had a house, sold it bought an RV and then a SUV. She stays out in the desert when she is back there in NV.

Providing proper housing is part of my compensation package. Think of it like a military soldier where housing is part of the lifestyle. They need me to be in a specific location, so they furnish the housing. I hold them to a standard because I expect that our Public Lands are cared for properly.

Sweetheart there has to be some kind of housing that you can get into. It is not safe living in your car. Don't give up and there are more jobs out there that will hire you.

I've lived out of my car (happily) for 9 years. But, I'm in a mountain town with relatively dry weather + lots of access to public land so I don't have to sleep in parking lots or anything. It works well for me 🤷♀️ ...You can see from the theme of my own videos, this lifestyle has afforded me lots of freedom and the ability to still have fun, without sinking into debt just to survive or working 3 jobs, lol

What she's doing is extremely unsafe. People like these are the ones who become statistics. I mean, a camper van might be safer than a car. And then, I bet she goes and does all that hiking without packing any 🔥
