I see you are now working on your floor, which should be a part of the foundation. I see no vapour barrier between the soil and steel grid. Hey JBud just checking you say they not doing rendering the outside of the house being built now but that won’t give you the same issue with the water coming down and the inside starts to sweat

The base should be 3 to 4 inches of compacted gravel . It keeps the concrete slab from settling over time. Best poured at a 5 or 5 and a half slump.I see construction is different around the world, but if it's going to last it has to be built strong.

17:55 The "Plumber" don't clean the pipes with primer before putting on PVC cement. The joint will eventually come loose and leak. He use a T instead of a Y on the waste line. Does jamaica have any standards or codes for plumbing?

You're absolutely correct, the pipes needed to be cleaned before applying contact cement. I had to rip out my bathroom walls in JA due to the same type of plumbing practice in jamaica. There are standards in Jamaica construction but, in the country these handy men are not qualified and there are no governing inspections done before covering over. It's brutal out there. It costs me a lot of money to re and re my bathroom albeit my brother and I had to fly down to get it done .
