We get these precious rascals in our front and back yards all the time. They are such little darlings and love to sit and sing when they're not poking around in whatever's been left sitting around. They'll nest just about anywhere if the location appeals to them. Plus, I love how they hold their tails up.

Very happy to find this vid! Been trying to match our local birds by call- this is the first house wren example that matches exactly. Hearing a lot of other familiar calls, but as I'm new to this stuff, the only I recognize is the really obvious mourning dove. Anyways, thank you for posting this lovely video!

I have a pair of them in my yard. I never noticed them until a few days ago when I was doing work outside. They're so cute! They weren't really afraid of me and stayed pretty close by as I was working. I found out later that it was because their nest is in a birdhouse that was hanging on my fence right wjere I was working. I thought the nest in there was abandoned, but a while later I was observing from another location in my yard and saw them flying in and out of it.

Yes thank the Lord for it's nature I have a few hanging flower pots in my big porsc and this little creature come to nest every year in PA. State...love how they sing early morning

Had one come behind my house for a few months, years ago. I would record its calls, and play it back; it would divebomb within centimetres of my recorder. They have hearing of pinpoint accuracy!
