@@kermitthefrog3632 you leave school at around 25. Then you start a career which takes you up to 10 years to earn 100k a year if you are lucky to be at the right place on the right time. Then you buy something like this home on mortgage and you must work next 15 years to pay it off so you end up being 50yo OR you are born rich and you dont get distracted by common slave duties. You use, enjoy and create new.

There was a big problem with this video and that is that it was far too short! I am so in love with the beauty of this apartment and the atmosphere. I wanted the video to go on and on, showing us the bedrooms and the garden that she referred to. Lovely, lovely home.

Thank you for this. We are moving to Italy next year. We bought a 1200 year watch tower in an area on the west coast halfway between Rome and Naples with its own ancient Roman area. The Italians know how to live. We’re decorating our tower a tad more elegant than it was when we bought it.

Agreed. I love that she kept things as they were and used what was already there. Of course, what was there was amazing and gorgeous and rare... but still. Some people would have blown out that kitchen and gone all new and stupid and I'm so glad she left it alone! It's perfect!

Magnificent! My most favourite aesthetic of all. Grandeur, original features, atmosphere, theatrical style and drama that feels mildly intimidating-- whilst still feeling friendly and instantly comfortable. To make a grand property feel incredibly enveloping, warm and welcoming whilst still making people feel a little in awe is striking the perfect balance. When historic features are gone, they're usually gone for good and the atmosphere is just never the same again. Some people don't care about preserving architectural details but I'm not one of them. I really enjoyed watching Skye show us her gorgeous home and elaborating upon the greater cultural and geographic context in which it sits. Beautiful.

The closest I have come to time-traveling was a solo vacation in Venice...just magical! I was nervous because I had inadvertently booked it during Easter week but somehow managed to avoid tourist crowds and felt like I had the streets to myself. How fortunate she is! I love her down-to-earth spirit, despite being (obviously) also wealthy.

This was not a tour - it was an adventure. I felt as though l was swept back into another time on a different side if the world. I adore the home, and the hostess. There is nothing like an old building with architectural details and bits of built-in opulence to act as backdrop for your best, most stylish life. My house is new by comparison, but the arches, niches, and built-in furniture made of unpainted wood are so easy to dress up. Skye seems like a really fun mom, and I'll bet her kids have an innate class having grown up with such historic beauty all around them. This was a great treat for the end of 2022.

I love this video. It is very inspiring. I saw what looks like Venetian Glass, the two tone tumblers and the Pitchers that are on the Table and on the tray with some clear wavy tumblers. I would love to have some Venetian glass like those pieces, very beautiful. You can make your home into anything you want. What a home! All the artwork, the paintings in the gallery and mostnof the furniture included! I know what the market is like there, that's one exclusive second family home! I really appreciate the peek, and her approach to christmas decorating which I very much share, and it's not that often you see someine buy these homes and not redo the old fashioned kitchen, and keep the old sofas, I really love that she let it be what it always was and just added her style to it, no flexing needed!
