You said exactly what I have felt for along time. I tell family members that I was "Italian" in another life but have yet to visit Italy. I watch lots of Italian KZbinrs living in Italy and I find myself admiring the videos. Two years ago my co-workers and I were planning a vacation to Italy but then covid hit and we didn't go. No need to apologise for being English ! You are you and live in Italy, how fortunate you are. The home you have created is beautiful and so much in contrast to the horrible sterile boxes being built these days. In Australia where I live, the fashion for grey is overwhelmingly boring. Kitchens, living room furniture, bathrooms all seem like funereal choices, with not a spot of colours or an interesting arrangement of beautiful things. Books, flowers and plants, simple meals and a garden - life is surely good.

Fortunate to have a wonderfully peaceful property & beautiful unique home. I’m disappointed to hear her say “sadly she very English”. I love her English pronunciations / accent and voice.
