Summer Getaway Contest Winners - House Flipper 2

So blown away by actually getting a pick in the winners, thanks HF2! For me a summer getaway was something that would take you away from normal life. I tried to capture this while holding a key element in mind, to be able to be seen from anywhere in the houses, the sea! A summer getaway should slow you down, get you relaxed and make you enjoy things people often don't do in normal daily routines. At the same time, get active! Have a place to sport, swim, hike and enjoy out of daily routine activities. Took a lot of effort to capture all of the above, and I'm really blown away it paid off.

So many incredible builds. The Japanese retreat, the suitcase, the cottage by the sea, the freaking millenium falcon, are you kidding me? lol. I also loved the firewatch tower at the camp. Gonna have to rewatch this so many times, y'all are so creative. Really inspiring stuff.

OH I did not expect to get a place, especially second!! Omg! Thanks so much House Flipper! I've always wanted a summer getaway home, so this contest was the actual perfect excuse to design my dream home for it. I had a lot of fun with it and adding the little small businesses along the beach, because one of my favorite parts of my personal summer holidays is getting to explore and support the local small businesses. One of my favorite interior design styles is nautical/coastal so I had the BEST time on this and I was mind blown by the other submissions I saw as well. It's really cool to see how different everyone's ideal vacation looks. Thank you again!

I adore the little shops! And there's so much detail everywhere. It's all gorgeous and I love it! The sea glass and the seashells for sale in the little boxes are so cute! I could go on and on about how cute everything is :D :D :D

I definitely recommend giving it a try sometime!! When I first got the game I was so confused in sandbox mode I gave up and thought I wouldn't try again. I wasn't used to a game like it so it was a very new thing to me. It took a good while to manage to just get a little square room made!And I was so proud of my square! 😂 It's definitely something you have to go into and try out everything randomly to see what it does, but there's also a lot of help on KZbin a few different talented builders have made to help others get started 😊

I had a terrible time when I first tried sandbox. I thought I wouldn't use it at all but I kept trying it and eventually got the hang of it. Now it's the only way I play. It can definitely be frustrating at times, but the freedom it gives you is worth it. I can't recommend it enough :D

Same​@@AnotherAndrea! I haven't finished the story mode LOL I absolutely love the freedom of sandbox mode 🥰 I got very overwhelmed when I first opened it and eventually pushed through. It's so worth it, being able to build anything you want!

As much as I don't like SW & I don't see how the starship(falcon?) build had anything to do with a summer theme... that was an absolutely FANTASTIC build - Congrats to all!😄 edit: had I known this didn't even need to be within the contest's theme, I would've entered my Cybertruck😂

​@activeme1-p5jI respect contest rules and other participants, and started that on August second specifically for the contest as you're supposed to! 😊 They can see when you made it! 😁👍🏻 And that is exactly what the rule means which is why they wrote it as simply as they could 😊

​@activeme1-p5jas I make KZbin videos of my builds I could show you the exact starting time&date if I wanted! 🤭 But thanks for the compliment 😊 I do know that you didn't win the contest. I checked through the winners and they're all either people I have spoken to positively, you've insulted their winning build, or someone else complained about one of them winning twice so that's not you as you didn't win fairytale contest. The honorable mentions are also people I've spoken to or the two I'm not familiar with type differently than you and you are claiming a win not a mention. You've been complaining rudely on KZbin since the last contest on an anonymous account and ignoring people when they ask which is yours for a reason. I suggest you stop going around complaining about who wins contests and just look at it as a reason to have fun again in the next one. When we do contests we aren't guaranteed a win. Not everyone can win. It's fun 😊
