Works like a charm. Keep in mind that you must firmly and slowly press the numerical buttons one at a time (on my model at least).

I think there is something inside the motor keeping it from receiving the code the light will not flash on the motor after entering the code but the remotes work great and the sensors are lined up! what can I look for inside the motor to make it accept the key code? THanks

You will have to look in your user jeep manual on how to program the vehicle buttonbut it will be similar steps to this.

So the one my grandparents have, the sprocket on the stop snapped off. I would do a check on that every couple of months. This is a 1999 model, not surprised.

Program the key pad: 1.Hit the purple button 2.enter 1234 (if not been programed before) 3.light on opener flashes 4. Repeat steps1-3 to program you own code replace 1234 with your own.

You forgot to mention the troubleshooting where your press each number to see if the light turns on. As I did, I realize the number 5 did not light up so instead buying one at Amazon like you suggested. I changed the code and replaced the 5 with another number. Add it your videos.

I will try this today as we do have this keypad in our garage but never used it and i am hoping it will work. Btw if i did hold the reset button does it will affect my garage holder transmitter? As i am afraid it might affect the transmitter which i amnusing if i am inside my car.

Hello! Not sure if you'll see this but I have a question. I was looking up how to reprogram my garage door openers because my garage door keeps randomly opening, I think because one of my apartment neighbors has an opener on the same frequency. Something I found said reprogramming all my openers will fix this. But now I'm seeing other sites saying this will not fix it because you can't change the frequency. Any ideas?? I'm extremely lucky nothing has been stolen from my garage because it has been left open for hours and possibly overnight!

Use the "learn " button on the head unit in the garage to change the remotes. If this does not work you may want to switch out the head unit for a different one and sell the old one?

sigh...I don't know how to locate the learn button on the unit with the lights in the way on both ends and I hate heights so I can not stay up there long to try to figure it out. Yours is already exposed. I wiggled the light cover and it didn't budge....which end anyway? Update...I pulled the light cover downward like a hinge but naturally checked the wrong end first....ugh.....I dislike even small heights....but there it was. pushed it back up and it was pretty quick. Glad that is over with.
