They say it's the most stressful because of the operation (theater) days, when you have to assist in the surgery as the main assistant or the second assistant and emergency cases. For me, the most stressful rotation when I was a house officer 3 years ago was internal medicine because of the calls and surgery (general surgery) because of the consultant and theater days. Clinic and call days was okay except when we hard emergencies like penetrative injury or trauma cases.

Internal medicine wasn’t even that bad for me compared to surgery. It is really crazy, I practically live in the hospital now🥲
