As a diehard Laker fan in enemy territory, i come in peace and harmony and wanted to show love and respect to the Celtics organization and the fanbase as a whole. The city of Boston is an incredible place for everything that has to do with winning and a full-time commitment to maintaining excellence, and im very happy that you guys won the NBA title for the first time in 16 years. I was born too late to witness the 1980's Celtics. It may just be me but this is the most excited I have ever seen Boston and the rest of New England be about the Celtics in my entire life. As great as the 2008 team was this team I feel has made even the casual fans here Celtics fans. I think about it and this is probably what it was like in the Larry Bird years. Its an entirely different experience.
@mikewood85616 ай бұрын
The 80's were crazy with the Celtics bro. The city was crazy, nuts, just insane about them and Larry Bird. The Celtics/Lakers were the biggest rivals and battled it out every year. Magic Johnson was our enemy but Boston still gave him respect. This team is great but the team in the 80s were better than great. They were competing for the championship just about every year and if they lost, it was to the Lakers. The parades and winning rallys were not as good though. You really just missed the aura of the Celtics, the past legends, Red, and Johnny Most. It's all about the past and following in their footsteps!!

@@BlackMatrix-pl4fe you made a point but he’s holding too much to the trophy. He should pass it to others also. Derrick blocked many shots also. It was a team effort.
@BlackMatrix-pl4fe6 ай бұрын
@@LinPor-k7p You don't know what's going on behind the scenes. There could be multiple reasons for that. For example, the organization might've made him hold it most of the time since he's the face of the Celtics (even though Jalen won MVP). They are still trying to push that agenda. Or maybe even Jrue didn't really want to hold it since he's a low key type of dude. Who knows, you aren't there and I'm not there. No point to make these types of accusations.
