GIRL! The timing of this vlog is impeccable because my fiancé and I just spent literally the entirety of last night arguing over dishes and chores. Pointless but sometimes things just get frustrating; at the end of the day you just have to know that you love that person and it’ll be okay. Like Rachel said “that’s my man for life.” And I love the 123 best friends thing, it’s funny and totally can lighten things up. On a serious note if I may put in a two cents since I am of Grandmother age and have raised two children myself, one of whom had a disability from a stroke he suffered when he was a young child. Please give yourselves a break and take it easy on yourselves much as you can. You two are young with a lot on your plate in life. Everything you both are going through will strengthen you from the inside out. I have a close family member whom was born with cerebral palsy also. She could not do a whole lot when she was a baby/young child but years of physical therapy/etc.. she ended up being able to walk" still to this day not perfectly, but she can walk without any assistance of any kind", she ended being able to talk "again, not perfectly but after one spends a little time with her you begin to understand her quite well". She grew up to experience a boyfriend, even lived on her own with assistance of course and even works a little job off/on. She is child minded to a degree but the sweetest young lady I have ever known and very loved. When Beckham is ready to blossom, I'm sure he will do so just fine. Gods timing, not doctors timing. It kills me every day if made right choice. Seeing u both as team n struggles u face it actually helps my broken heart. One suggestion when you start working with the speech therapist and feeding therapist see what their thought are if there is a room with a two-way mirror and have the therapist feed him first, but (mom) your watching from the other room and see how Beckham responds/reacts to that. I am no doctor or therapist, but honestly for now, it may take every once of energy and concentration that Beckham has in his sweet body to eat.

I'm a caregiver to a 9 year old who only weighs 43 lbs and hasn't gained in 2 years. She was 20 lbs at 6 before having life saving spinal surgery (her curve was 90° and restricted her lungs and digestive tract). Weight gain is often a big issue for these kiddos. Ya'll aren't alone. It can be stressful!

Be so careful sweet couple, the divorce rate is high with a challenged child - I know because it happened to me - children will do this, decide that either mom or dad are the one to care for them - one day he might decide that mom should feed him - until then work together - feed him together - make it a game - make it fun - although I know it is an anxious time for parents and not fun - see a “feeding” expert - other people have this difficulty too. God Bless you and give you strength to work through this.

I can feel Hunter’s blow dryer addiction but mine is my space heater when I’m awake and air purifier and fan while I sleep. I will wake up immediately if either one turns off. I’m a full fledged white noise junkie but have to have air flow as well. Man I’m neurotic lol

It can be so stressful dealing with a disabled child let alone when the dynamic of who does what changes which is going go happen it's normal. Rachel's right in that she can not force him to eat and hunter is right that he needs to eat when hes not home.so what the hell do u do? I'm not exactly 100% sure. I do know though that it is really hard on rachel that Beckham only eats with hunter so HUNTER: maybe both of u should sit with him to eat and try that. Oh and shopping I agree with rachel.edit: oh maybe that wont work I just seen the end of vlog about him getting distracted. So I'm out of help. I really hope it works out and honestly I truly believe it will

When Covid started, and my husband and I went to work from home, I cried..like sobbed alll day long 8am-5pm because he said I talked to loud and he couldn't work in the same room as me. I was being completely irrational because I knew I talked loud while I work..(I found out I was pregnant a week later, so I got a pass)

I’m not sure if you have already tried this but since Beckham only eats with Hunter, what if you try printing out a picture of Hunter’s face and glueing it on a stick and putting it in front of your face while you feed. Or if you have an iPad, you could film Hunter’s face and get him to pretend to feed Hunter with the expressions and words he uses and then see if he’ll feed for you while you put the iPad right in front of Beckham. Not sure if this makes sense. Night sounds silly but food for thought 😉

Maybe Hunter could try a noise machine like they have for young children to help them sleep? I have used one many times when im having trouble sleeping and it works great. Just a suggestion... Never know til u try unless he already has tried it of course . But I just wanted to suggest that in case it might work for him so he can use a safer method to fall asleep than a hair dryer. Is the g-tube still a consideration? While you might look at it as a step backwards, it might actually take some stress off you and Hunter. Once you know that Beckham is getting the appropriate calories, you can turn your attention to other achievements for this brave little warrior! Does Beckham struggle with reflux? I've heard of some babies taking medication for that, for example another baby who has Cerebral Palsy and uses a G-Tube. I can imagine it must be different for each baby but maybe it would help if it holds him back from wanting to eat
