Miss Sew shows you how to sew a rolled hem on your overlocker / serger.
This technique can be used to create hems on a range of different fabrics. It's best used on lightweight fabrics to give a beautiful finish.
The machine used in the video is a Janome 9102D, similar to the 9300DX. The settings used for this machine will be similar for any make or model of overlocker / serger. Refer to your manual for more details.
Woolly nylon is used in the upper looper to give more coverage of the raw edge and a softer finish. Regular sew all polyester thread is used in the needle and lower looper. Regular thread can be used in place of the woolly nylon.
